Hmmm, I haven't really thought about it b/c my fiance and I are paying for the wedding ourselves and we're also saving for a house so...just a few cake books, maybe some pans or something. I would looooove to get to take some more classes or something, that would be a great gift. I would also like shoes..I love shoes

I want to get new silpats (mine are over 5 years old!! they are showing their age) and a pasta roller for fondant.

I would really really really love to get a chandelier in our dining room. We've lived in our house for over 5 years and we still have a lightbulb as our chandelier and we have cathedral ceilings!! (I could always dream)

Well, I have a lot on my list this year. I've asked for an assortment of pans(about 12 in total), an airbrush system, some edible pens, some stencils, and last but not least the Marc Jacobs Satchel bag. I'm a high maintenance girl at heart and hubby's wallet.

Since I am just getting started with the whole cake/cookie decorating hobby I am asking for cake pan sets, gift cards to Michael's, and a bunch of other decorating stuff. Oh yeah, and shelving for my basement to store it all! icon_smile.gif

My hubby said I really shouldn't get anymore decorating stuff till we move again in august cause the place we are in now not only is it small but it is only temporary(a year) we will have to pack and move in aug of 07!! But I would love more cookbooks and some more cake pans and decorating items like the cake siders i think they are called where you can place plastic strips in a hand held sleeve and run along side your cake for edgeing styles.

I think I would just like to have some more Magic Line pans, of different sizes, round, square and sheet.

As far as the war in Iraq goes....I also wish that everybody could be with there families, but this is something that has to be completed, or we will have another 9/11. I don't know if this will ever be resolved but we can't let theses terrorist get away with what they are doing. I just keep remembering what my ex-boyfriend (Active Marine) told me (he has been to Iraq twice). "The reason that we go over there and fight, is to keep them from coming over here and fighting. Y'all have to remember, these men and women have all volunteered for this, and from what I have seen being on a military base, they believe in what they are doing.

I want a Brother SE270D sewing/embroidery machine so I can do all kinds of cool stuff!
I want to embroider my aprons with cute figures and sayings. icon_smile.gif

I also want a WonderMold pan and a checker board cake pan.

I'd like to have some more silicone spatulas with wooden handles.

I want the new Gretchen Wilson book that is coming out soon.

I'd also like a few subscriptions to some of my favorite magazines.

And a rubber stamp set of the alphabet!

I know that is all selfish, I want this, I want that, blah, and I should be saying something like: I just want to have a good Christmas with my family and be happy that I have what I have. icon_smile.gif

But, those are just things I would like to have in the near future, and there is no better time to hint to the family!

Well... I asked for a extra bowl for my KA. I also would like a extra large cooling rack, you know one that you could cool a 16" cake without it hanging over the edges.(anyone have one and want to share where you got it?)

I absolutely agree. I am looking forward to having my honey home from Iraq in a few weeks, but I know if he had to stay, he'd stay. This is his 2nd tour, and he was there last year for Christmas. Hopefully I can be selfish and fill his tummy full of turkey for Thanksgiving this year, though! icon_biggrin.gifusaribbon.gif

I am so happy for you, that your Husband is coming home! I know that you are so excited!

Do y'all have any children?

Thanks Connie! Actually he's my boyfriend, not my husband. Who knows, maybe someday, but not right now. And he has 2 kids, and I have 1. We can't wait for him to come home and he can't wait to be home!

Yes, most definitely! I'll make him anything he wants! He's actually a really good cook himself, and I know he'll be looking forward to being able to get back in the kitchen again, too.

When you get that, I want to buy an embroidered apron from you for myself for Christmas. I want one with my name and cake logo on it that matches my KA. I haven't been able to find this in a store yet, go figure!

Gift for cake decorating:

More talent! I guess practice would take care of that!

For the family:

Another year of mom being here since diabetes and kidney disease is taking her years away.

I actually got two huge racks that are the size of my racks inside my oven!! They easily hold a 16" cake without hanging over. I bought them at a store called Homegoods (owned by TJ Maxx). I can't remember exactly how much I paid for them, it was over 4 years ago. But I would guess they were around $18 each (I usually would never spend more than that). Good luck hunting!

My DH brought home a Kitchen Aid stand mixer today!!!

I don't bake cakes often but everytime I make royal icing I burn up a hand mixer. Well, he has seen me looking at stand mixers and he knew that I favored the Kitchen Aid. So, today he was at Lowe's and they had one on sale for $158 and he came home with it! It's only a 4-1/2 quart but that's all I need since I only make a cake maybe once a month. lol

Man, those DH's sure can knock your socks off once in awhile!!! Woohoo!!

I LOVE my husband!
