Well now I think he must have went to the same classes my DH went to. He done pretty good for a first timer! He sounds just like my DH, he talks about me spending money on supplies all the time, but whenever he's home while I'm working on a cake, guess where he is? Oh yes, he's right there in the kitchen with me telling me how I should do it. I let him have at it once because it was a cake for our grandson. It was to be a 1/2 sheet with a construction site on it. Well, in fear that we wouldn't be able to take his cake to the party, I made a second cake, Tigger. I want you to know when we got there, not only the guests, but my dear sweet grandson too just ooooo'd and ahhh'd over papaw's cake. Tigger wasn't even noticed. These guys can really do have it in them to do. I'm proud of your sweetie, he has my vote for a great job! YOU GO BOYFRIEND!!!

I must say it really isnt that bad. For a first time it turned out ok. I would say he is a keeper. Give credit where credit is due.

Tell him he did a great job. And maybe he could give you a helping hand now and then. Tell him to keep practicing with you.

He did a great job!! And isn't it great to have someone to help?? Sometimes it really bothers me when my fiance tells me what to do with my cakes but his ideas are really good sometimes! Check out the power ranger cake in my photos, my fiance did the outlines for me b/c i was so frustrated just with icing the darn thing he stepped in to help icon_cool.gif

I think he did a great job. thumbs_up.gif

My husband is the same way, the first time I did a FBCT he was right by myside helping me along.

The first and only character cake (Scooby-Doo) my husband did 3/4 of the cake. I just couldn't handle all those stars icon_cry.gif

Some men are keepers, of course there are some that we should just throw right back icon_wink.gif
