I know it can be a pain and time consuming, but what about cornelli lace in the large open area around the writing. Everyone loves it when I do that to a cake, they think it's hard and very neat but for me its only time consuming.

Cornelli Lace on top would look nice, but it's pretty the way it is!!

Beautiful job on your cake! What about maybe a fondant swag around the cross. Just a thought. I have a small tiered cross cake in my pics if you want to take a peek.

Your cake is fine the way it is, less is more.

I agree with the leaves on the daisies since a 3rd color usually rounds things up.

But if your tired and dont want to mess it up, less is better than a mistake.

So sit back, have a cup of tea and you might find it's perfect, just the way it is.

Good Luck,

How about white dots? You have pink ones on the sides. It would tie it together.

Since it's so late, I would just cut out a couple more daisies. It looks just fine to me. One thing I do just for a more finished look is simply sprinkle some clear sugar flakes on the cake. It caches the light and shimmers. You did a great job on this cake and it doesn't HAVE to have anything else. Keep it simple for yourself.

Leave it as is. It's beautiful.

Sometimes adding too much takes away from the design.

Can't say what to put on the cake for extra pops, but it is beautiful.

Thank you all sooo much! I really appreciate your compliments and suggestions!

I have made a pair of fondant baby booties and a small little bonnet (the bonnet could probably be better, never made one of them before) anyways, maybe I could put them on the cake somewhere?

Should I move the cross and put it towards the corner? or leave it where it's at and put the little booties in front of the cross and move the daisies?

That's where my weakness is, I'm not good with 'placement' of things on a cake haha icon_smile.gif Thanks so much!!!! icon_smile.gif
