frosting sheets i think are good for images because they melt into the icing. rice paper is good for making butterflies and other things that are 3D.

It depends on what you are doing with themicon_smile.gif
Wafer paper is great for b'flies and fall leaves.
FS are for almost every thing else.
If you put a pic on wp it can be tough to cut thru once on a cake icon_sad.gif FS pix are much better.

FS are what are used to make homemade "Edible Images". Now "Edible Images" is the copyright porperty/name used by one company for their pictures on extremely thin sheets of fondant printed in beautiful colors.
Homemade FS pix are made by putting a picture in your computer and printing it thru a special, dedicated printer - used *only* for edible ink.
There are several different companies that offer blank fs for such use. Many on line stores have them. DecoPac I believe is one; KopyKake; & tasteyfotoart. Do a google search for 'edible frosting sheet' and you will find many sources.
