My first passion is travel. So I became an associate with a travel agency so I could earn my travel, that was the only way that I would be able to afford it. So when I am not reading up on new ships, hotels, tour companies, etc. I am baking or reading.

(LOL)

Wow, dog shows? I tip my hat to you. Do you show dogs or just enjoy the shows? I've been shopping for a German Shepherd because I want to get into Schutzhund. icon_smile.gif

Yes we "do" dog shows. We have a 14 month old Great Pyrenees bitch that we got a Championship on in 2 weekends of showing. She's superb. We're now obedience training her (& boy does she NEED that, lol she thinks she's queen bitch). Good luck in finding a dog you love.

Like many of you, I love to read, especially children's/young adult's literature. My 13 year old son and I regularly advise each other on good reads. (e.g. the "So You Want to be a Wizard" series).

I also train in the martial arts (Hapkido), as do my dh and ds.

I have quite a few hobbies, too. I started scrapbooking a few years ago & have "collected" half of a room plus an armoire full of scrapbook stuff...Put a lot of money into it but haven't scrapped in a whole year! First of all, my craft room is a junk room since I moved, and second, I can't find the time!

I also like gardening or just anything where I can play in the dirt.

Hunting is something I will go to do, but won't shoot anything! I just carry my camera!!

I love taking photos outdoors of animals, people and nature. Hate taking indoor photos!!

I tried sewing....but I just can't get it right....so I gave that up....I leave that to my 11 year old sister...she's better than me!!

Other than that, and cooking, baking & cake decorating of course, that's about all I can handle....EXCEPT my other hobby which is cleaning....yeah I do enjoy that from time to time!! haha

(No BS there...I can show you snakes for sale on the Internet for $38,000.-not mine, lol).

Sorry you asked me, huh? icon_razz.gif

This is another forum I hang at full of breeders of this animal: http://p219.ezboard.com/fmoreliaviridisfrm1

Before yall have the tizzies just remember my pets don't require litter boxes, rabies shots, leashes, neutering, and they don't demand attention other than good health care. LOL! icon_lol.gif

(And yes, I *do* have a seperate building for my baking shop..ha ha)

My children would love to visit you. icon_lol.gif They're both boys (3 & icon_cool.gif and think snakes are awesome.
My brother got a ball python a few months ago and they were thrilled to find it had come to visit my mother when we went to her house. They were a little mad that he'd only let them pet it and not hold it, it's a baby and he was worried about it. They love the pics of the snake eating that he sends.
We have cats and I don't want them eaten so they can't have a snake.

I like to sew, especially designing and making costumes; I like to read; am a good swimmer; like to cook and we entertain quite a bit; I'm teaching my daughter how to read and write music; and my husband and I are taking scuba diving lessons. I love to do home improvements like painting and installing flooring, shelves, etc. We are in the market to buy a house and I'm excited for a fixer-upper! In the past I was an avid gardener, but I was used to growing things in a hot climate and we are in a cool climate now, so I'd like to learn how to garden here. I love to bake different things, but make only two cakes a year, for birthdays.

Cheers, from
SwampWitch

I am not yet into horses, despite my hubby's interest and the fact that we have three horses and a pony . . . but I am about to get REALLY into them as we're building / opening a commercial equestrian facility (64 stalls with boarding, training, and lessons). We are actually selling our house (the one I thought would be our "forever" house) so we can live on-site with the horses. We're building living quarters above the offices and will move in after the new year. YIKES! I've only been horseback riding a handful of times and am really afraid when I do it . My hubby's philosophy is to just put me on the horse and let me learn as i go, which is SO not the way to do it with wild animals and SO not my way of doing ANYTHING so I imagine I'll take some lessons once our stables open up and maybe I'll become a horse person, too, in time.

My other hobbies include painting (not artistically . . . painting walls). I love changing a room with a can of paint. I've even done large scale murals in our playroom and in my son's rooms that were so much fun to do. I'm excited for the move to the new house in that it will be a blank slate to make all my own!

I also love to read . . . authors like Jodi Picoult (my fave), Sandra Brown, used to like Nora Roberts but all of her books now seem so cookie cutter. There are a bunch of others, too.

I love kids books (I'm a former kindergarten teacher) and poetry.

I love to bake . . . have all of my life. Decorating cakes is new for me as I just started this past March.

What else??? I'm sure there's more. I'll be back if I think of anything else!
