Hi folks,
I shared this on the Wilton forums as well. I have spent many many hours revising Alice Keeler's professional matrix to be used for the home and hobby cake decorator.
Please feel free to download, change and use at your discretion. Hope it helps other decorators out there!:

Thanks so much Loriana! This makes things less confusing as I'm not to good with Excel. I started my own price matrix but it's noting like this. I'll have to incorporate mine into this one! Thanks again!

Hi folks, you are very welcome. I spent a lot of hours adjusting this for a home baker since some of the stuff didnt apply to us like sales tax, credit card processing, etc...
I also simplified it a bit, especially the instructions. If anyone has trouble or does not understand how it works, feel free to email for help. I am already using this and finding it very helpful to determine how much frosting I need, how many people a cake will feed, how much a gumpaste flower is really worth ![]()

I have a pricing matrix (might be Alice's) and it is not easy to follow. But, this one is great! Thank you!
Loriana- Thanks so much. This will take the guesswork out of what I can charge. You are awesome.
I think Alice's is pinned at the top of the Cake Decorating Business forum.
WOW!!! THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!.. I have 3 cakes due this Saturday and using this will greatly help. LOVE IT!!
Im very very glad it will help you guys. I believe we are all about sharing here, and it warms my heart that other people can find this useful too ![]()
Hi Marecip: About adaptations to add your own recipes
This is very easy to adapt. What you will need to do it go into either the cake, filling or fondant recipes tab and scroll all the way over until you get to a blank box. Make sure it has an index number like "13" attached to it.
Then, list out your ingredients the same way the other boxes have them listed out. For instance:
Cake flour 1 lbs 5lbs. $3.00 subtotal will be $.60
And then make sure you list all the ingredients in the same format and "x" them out that you are using them. The top total will automatically total up the price of your recipe to reproduce. Everything else from there is automated (Invoicing, My Worksheet, etc)
Hope this helps, PM me if you still have trouble.
Can someone please send this document to my email? I keep trying to save it and my internet explorer shuts down when I do so. My email address is [email protected]
I would greatly appreciate this...
Thanks
Thank You. I really appreciate the time you took to share with us.
Thank you so much Lisa! I haven't read it all yet, but I will - it looks so simple!
Thanks again!
