I had an order for a flip flop cake from a man for his wife's birthday. This is only about my 5th paid cake. I quoted him $20.00. The cakes are carved from a 9X13 inch pan, iced in Almond-Vanilla buttercream, graham cracker crumbs for sand, Royal flowers, molded sugar shells and starfish, and rubber straps from a new pair of flip flops I purchased from the dollar store.
Well, he just came to pick up the cake and thought it was really cool. He couldn't thank me enough, saying how much his wife was gonna love it. Then he flips me $30.00!

You definitely didn't charge enough for your beautiful cake! But if you are happy with the amount and obviously you client was, then it's a good day!
