Your bow is gorgeous! I think I feel the same way about the dots. They're kind of a distraction to an already pretty cake.
The cake is very pretty but I have to agree with the others. I would leave off the dots. Your bow is great.
you know when folks have an idea of what they want a cake to look like they fail to realize that..first they will not get that same cake they saw in the pic. it will differ in some way just a little....But your cake looks great. Your bow was your bow. heck i hope when i make some bows that they will look half as good as yours.
My first thought also was that the dots were not necessary. My second thought was that the bow looked natural and not so perfect that it looked fake. You have done a good job. I have never worked with fondant so I am not an expert but I love it.

Thank you all so much for the comments, I will leave the dots off next time and if I put them they will be done in fondant so they can lay flat. This is what we all need just to see if what we are doing is going at least in the right direction ![]()
I take your comments to heart and express my greatest appreciation for you opinions!
Cute!! I agree about the dots, but I totally get what you were going for with the bow! I like it!!
Your work looks really good, the cake is beautifull.
I think the ribon curliquees are a bit too much. Sometimes less is more.
It's hard to see the border on the bottom, it just seems a bit large scale. Smaller might be better.
The colors are nice too.
It does look great - good job.
Good Luck.
