I have just recieved my 1st order for 2008, I cant believe someone already want to book me for 2008. I think that is so cool Im kindof new to the "business" end of it all..still baking out of my home. But recently got into wedding cakes and larger orders you know. But some how my name got out there and someone booked for next year and someone else is inquiring about another date next year, (checking out my prices).. icon_biggrin.gif sorry for being so silly I just think thats exciting for little ol me,

Congrats! And you're not being silly either! A co-worker's wife called me last month for her son's birthday cake in September, she said that she wanted to "reserve" me! lol

Congrats to you!! That is exciting!!

I've already got one booked for 2009 and I've had other inquiries for 2009. Either they are putting a LOT of thought into the planning phrase these days, or they need the extra time to save up the money! icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

that is so cool - and not silly at all to be excited. I have opened my own bakery and I had a couple come in last week wanting to schedule an appointment for their wedding cake for Feb. 2008 and I made a comment that they were staying on top of things and planning early and they said not really just wanted to get the cake set up with me because they had heard such good things about my bakery and wanted to make sure that I did not get booked up. So, I still get so excited when I hear things like that. WAY TO GO!!

Congratulations - from the looks of your cakes I can see why they want to book you before you are overbooked!
