I am so sorry that happened to you but your cake is absolutely breathtaking! You did an amazing job!
oh no...i'm crying w/ ya!! i can't believe it, would they buy that it was fondant ribbon painted w/ luster dust. oh well those wilton so-and-so's don't know what they are doing. look at how many complaints the set gets. maybe they should make a better product instead of disqualifying someone who used it, made it work (despite it's flaws), and created something magical!! you did great ::hug:: from me to you!

Awww, that is such a drag!! You did a beautiful job, I especially love the water part at the bottom - very creative spin on it! Hope you can re-enter per PP suggestion!
It's just beautiful! Too bad they didn't warn you so you could have remove the ribbon.
BTY, you and your DH(?) look a lot like my DH and me. He's 6'5" (grew 2 1/2' after we were married) and I'm 3'3". He's the only one around who can tell me when it's time to do my roots!
Wow. That cake is FABULOUS. That just stinks. You are too talented for your own good! ![]()
Angie
I didn't even know you couldn't do that???
It is stunning though..I love the idea you used...so different!!
I LOVE IT!!
Sorry to hear that!! Your cake is gorgeous!!!
All this hard work and time spent on my castle cake and I absentmindedly put ribbon around my cakes and they Disqualified me!! I'm so bummed out...I hope my fellow CC'ers will at least enjoy my hard work
What does it matter about the ribbon..you cant eat the castle set either, so it aint like everything on the cake is edible to start with anyway??? :\\
Your cake is beautiful, you did a really great job on it... ![]()
Yeah...I bought Wilton fondant (yuck!), candy melts, chocolate mold, gumpaste castle set...not to mention all the (crappy) wilton TOOLS I own and have spent money on...(plus the cake decorating classes...) It does say in the rules that EVERYTHING MUST be edible to enter (except separator plates, pillars and of course their castle kit that they are hocking...) but it was a slip-up, I just finished the cakes the way I always do. And besides...I'd rather eat the RIBBON then their DISGUSTING fondant ANYDAY!!!...LOL....Grrrrrrr
I got disqualified too because I used plastic picks to attach my flags!
They are not edible! Picky picky....
Stephanie
You got disqualified too! I can't believe that! The amount of money I've spent on their stuff! What annoys me most is the cakes in their yearbook are all dummies anyways, everything on them is edible, but the cakes aren'tso what's the difference??
Your cake was absolutely beautiful! As far as Wilton goes, if they dont let you reenter it without the ribbon then it just goes to show you what kind of company they really are. Their getting worse and worse. I just hope when this new company takes them over its not more of the same otherwise we might have to boycott them along with the other company...You know who!
seriously wilton better watch who they are playing with. i've already deleted that other company from my favs, i wouldn't hesitate to do the same to them. it's not like they are the only peeps i can buy caking stuff from. btw once you've been deleted by me, it's over! ![]()

has the entry deadline passed yet? if no, re-submit it without the ribbon or add fondant ribbon.
