When making them do you prefer the egg whites or vanilla extract to "glue" them together??

I am about to attempt them out of fondant and I was wondering which would work better or easier.

Thanks!

Egg white or vanilla extract for what? Glueing them together? I just use water.

Here is a tutorial by Cali4Dawn that she so generously shares the technique and instructions. Thanks to another CC'er I was given this link.

Thank you so much! I think I will use the extract since it dries fast and seemed to work quickly with the fondant roses I made.

I just use water. There is a template on the site in the gallery. I've used fondant the most but the last two pair I used gumpaste - it is so much easier with gumpaste!

Water works very well with sticking fondant to fondant. I used it to put little wings on ducks and it stuck very well!

I read on CC somewhere that vodka or Everclear is a good glue... it doesn't make the fondant soggy and evaporates once everything is glued. I have not tried it yet though.

I used the cutters you can buy from Country Kitchen. I love them. They were really easy to use.
