What sort of lace effect are your referring to? Do you have a pic of the cake?

i can't seem to find it...but basically any lace.

u can use bettercream and a tip 1 or 2 (i think) to make a cornelli lace or spanish lace on a cake

Hope this helps, it was in one of the comments on the cake:

It is called a lace press you can get at cake deco stores. You roll out fondant, press it in the mold, trim it and put it on the cake.

I actually have that lace mold (or one reallly really really close to it) and I got it from Creative Cutters , you can expect to spend anywhere from $20 - $80 for a mold like that.
