I have heard of using this on cookies and see lots of lists where they talk about it but what does it taste like? thank you.
If the fondant tastes good (probably not Wilton) then the cookie just has a general sweetness. I have used fondant and candy clay, and both taste good.
I've used MMF and it's really good...sweet, not much flavor but you can change that with extracts...
I'm sorry for being so unfamiliar with all this, but what is candy clay?
thank you
Candy clay is has a fondant-like constency but is made with white bark "chocolate" and corn syrup ( at least that's the one I have seen ) and you can make roses and all that stuff. I have heard it is more tasty than fondant but the MMF is not bad.
I am dying to try the MMF on cookies - they all come out so pretty and colorful and so perfectly sized ( you can use the cookie cutter to cut the fondant and either the heat from the cookie will melt it and hold it in place or, if they are cooled, you could use piping gel)
Have fun!
thank you! I had no idea what it was. I have seen so many pretty cookies in the pictures section and so many have said mmf so I was intrigued. I don't know that I am so organized that I could have the pre-cut fondant all ready to go when the cookies get out of the oven so I may have to see if I can find a cake decorating store nearby and get some of that gel. : )
