Do you wonder if Katie intentionally gave you inacurate information and picked the design you specificaly warned her about just to make you look bad? Even though these are just cupcakes-it's also your reputation, and it sounds fishy you never talked to the co-worker or saw her prior to your apology phone call. Do you wonder if Katie didn't want you 2 to meet and just happened to drop by when her friend just happened to be running late? And when you did talk to the co-worker it sounded as if there were 2 different descriptions of the cupcakes-Katies, and the co-worker's. It all sounds like a set up-maybe Katie offered to bring cupcakes to the party and purposly chose a cupcake that would not look so great so she could talk crap about you to everyone at the party. Just wondering if you should contact the co-worker again to clarify exactly what happened, afterall word of mouth is the best and the worst form of advertising. It's not about the cupcakes anymore, it's about your product and you. Just a little of my Nancy Drew coming out.
I agree with indydebi, you need to confront the so called unhappy customer. Personally, if I was the lady you made these for, I would have stepped forward and spoke up if the cupcakes were completly different from what I order. Your so called "friend" needs to get a life and stop the drama game.
Just don't take anything of what she said to you to heart, you deserve better.
The expectations of these women sounds like a three year old's requests. . .I wan t a blue pony with red spots that jumps through one of those hoop thingies that's on fire and I want him to have a rose in his mouth too. . .Oh and it should almost be free as well. geeze! Sounds like good ole' Katie is a toxic sess(sp?) pool. Who needs it.
Elle!
