When you make a monogram for a wedding cake using the three initials.....large letter in the middle for last name and smaller one on each side for bride and groom........whose initial customarily goes on the left..bride or groom?

Thanks,
Sandra

debatable....I read hers on the left (first) his on the right

However, if the couple wants it to look a certain way, it is OK to do something different.

You will get different responses for this icon_smile.gif

My understanding is that left=bride and right=groom.

Thanks ladies. That's what I thought, but you never know what kind of weird rules apply to things like this.

When I was watching the wedding cake challenges, those that did monograms put the bride initial first-last nameinitian-groom's initial.

Yes, I also believe it's customary for the bride's to be on the left and groom on the right! I have to do a cake with monogram topper on July 28th, so good thread to get the consensus!
