how was your day today?
my day was okay. I went to work at 6am; left at 1130am. No one was there the whole time that I was there. My admin wasn't there when I left so I had to leave a note saying I was leaving. She was like 5-10 min late. I can't stand it when people are late!! That's my biggest pet peave!
Went to the dentist with DS #2. We were supposed to go out with SIL for lunch (she works at the dentist office; so six months ago I picked a right after lunch appt so we all could go out together). She called me this morning and said she couldn't go out with us (she had to go to the bank....stupid excuse!) I told DH I would NEVER try to be nice to ANYONE in his family again! I'm tired of trying to be nice to everyone and try to get together so that they could see the kids and not think that we don't like them.....why can't I learn. I guess I'M THE STUPID ONE!

My SIL sends her kids here from NC (3 boys) for 5 WEEKS!!! and $300. So far they have been to Disneyland, Knotts, Universal Studios, Raging waters, Soak City, Golf N stuff. Do you think $300 is enough for all kids??
Yesterday she invites Angel to Soak City and tells me to give him money to pay his way in....WTF??????????
Her kids cost me $300 alone the 2 days they were here and she's CHARGING ME????? I told FH the same thing. No More Mrs. Nice guy..
I have to pick up FH. Be back in 15.
$300; 5 weeks....should be enough for 3 boys...that's $100 for each kid....DLand is like what....$5 to get in!! LOL burgers are like .50c

Monica, your words made me think about something I was thinking earlier today.
Don't be hard on your family, please. What happens is they grew up that way and to them that't the way of life. They can't see the wrong because they just didn't know.
I grew up in an abusive household mentally and phsyically. As my Mother, her Mother, and her Mother. Generation after generation. Until someone explains to them it the wrong way to live they just don't know.
I felt I was abusive to my children and I have to live with that the rest of my life. Nothing, absolutely nothing will take that out of my head. I carry so much guilt around.
I spanked them when they were bad and was very hard on them I expected them to be well behaved when we are out of the house. But, on the other side of the coin they were told over and over how much I loved them. I praised them for the good and the effort. I would give anything to go back and start over again.
I only knew life around me and I lived the same as they did so I thought I was normal. I'll have to tell you the story abou my sister-in-law having me punish my DS.
Thats why we the people are going the wrong way to better our country. They need to use my plan.
Start with the inter-city children. Make sure every child has a good breakfast and lunch each day it helps the brain work. A lot of children go to school hungry.
Have a strict curfer on kids be out on a school night. If a child is still falling asleep in class they talk with the child to find out what is preventing them from going to sleep at night.. If that doesn't help the talk to the parents. The is a reason s child doesn't get the sleep they need.
Have two teachers in each class to teach. Pay them well and give them good benefits so this is a job they will not want to lose. Random times have someone of authority sit in thier class to make sure they are doing what they are suppose to do.
All the children should wear uniforms. This would stop the stealing of clothing/shoes. It will stop the kids that have from making frun of those who don't have.
NO tolorance rule. If you are caught or it can be proven that you touched another child or made nasty remarks to another child there willl be a
price on your head.
If a child is acting up in a class or just seems nit-witted. Take time to have the child tested. He could have something physically wrong with him. Maybe he comes from a zoo were no-one cares what he does. That is when you have good teachers that will take the time to help him.
Maybe the child had become slow in previous years and if someone don't give him the time he will go down the wrong road.
All these children hear are negative. Being called names, they are lazy, ugly, no one will ever want them. Someone needs to take time pointing out their talent and encourage them. We all have a talent we just have to find it and use it.
I am bad about making smart remarks about the inter-city. But really I feel for them and wished the goverment would help. Pay a councler to work with just one person the help them find want the world has waiting out there for them. When it' time to let them move on their own be there in case they slip. There is enough tax money out their it is misused and when are people going to wake up.
A young Mother on Welfare, I bet her Mother was, her Mother's Mother. That's the life they have seen until someone takes the interest and time to show them there is another life.
A girl 19 has 3 babies, each one has a different father they don't see anything wrong with that. That was how her Mother lived and her Mother's mother.
And the Father's of these children brags to his friends that he has 7 kids by 4 different women because in his neighborhood that is really the cool thing to do.
At least once a month there is a story where 5 - 6 kids die in a home fire they had been left with the oldest on who was 7. They are proud to have babies and brag but they don't want the part of taking care of them. And it makes me sick to see the Mother carry on about the child' death being sure to get her 15 min. If she was looking after the child like a Mother should he would be alive.
A lot of women here use to pop out babies because on welfare you were paid more for each child. They put a stop to that. But they still take the Welfare money that's given to them and by drugs. The children run the streets hungry. The start stealing just to eat at first and then it becomes a way of life for them.
I asked a man once why he lived on the street drinking and doing drugs why he chooses to live like that. He said it was a way to escape the crappy life he had. He couldn't see a way out. I told him if he wanted to he could. It's just easier to feel sorry for yourself.
Tonight on the news a 11 year old boy shot his Father 3 times with a gun. I'm thinking this poor child must have picked it up and it went of - no.
The 11 yr old had it in school today bragging to other children that he could kill someone. He sees it on TV and it goes on in his neighborhood. They are requesting that he be trialed as an adult.
I worked with a young man that said he had no problem taking someone out. He had been in prision and didn't have a problem going back. I was taken away.
People don't usually choose to live the way they do, they live by the world around them. If they live in a messed up world that's is what they learn.
Higher wages for teachers, double the teacher staff
Higher wasges for law inforcers and 2 per car, more days off
Hire adults to stand in the halls in school more so to protect the innocent children. No tolorance for Bullies.
Each community should have a rec hall with good equiptment and large staff so the children can feel comfort to going to them if they have a problem.
Have programs to teach them everyday skill.
Too many stick their heads in the sand. We need to take care of the uneducated. So much of their igonrance is from not knowing.
Help the children, all of them. They are going to be in charge some day. They may be the very ones that desides what happens to the old.
Some may think I'm a itch but stop trying to support the world and look in your own back yard. If the government focused more on our children we would be the strongest nation. It all starts with the children. It sickens me how the government uses our tax money.
I think sometimes we need to just stay out of other countries business. How would we feel if another country thought the way we lived was wrong and came over to change us. I think it makes us look like a bully

I am on the steering committee for Mops (mothers of preschoolers) this year as the creative activities leader. What was I thinking! If you have a MOPS in your area you should check it out. Ours is cool. It is 12:13 am here and my eyes are blurry from too much internet reading. Love you all... tom is another day.
