All I can say is WOW! BIG TIME WOW! That is absolutely amazing.
The irony is that I was just earlier looking at Toba Garrett's site after reading a thread in here about something else, and she has a pic of a wedding dress on there with the lace up look. ANd I was thinking, as much as I was admiring her handiwork, I thought, hmmm I would envision a bridal dress longer and more flowing. But that's just me, not to criticize her work. Now I see yours and I go to myself 'THAT's' what I would have had in mind for a dress/veil cake. I LOVE it! You are so talented!
I am self taught
from what i understand so are some of the famous--
and would be nervous that I wasn't doing things properly even though the end result would be good enough.
remember that everyone has to start somewhere--check out the local competitions...we're behind you 100%!!!
Big head or not, I just wanted to say that your cake is TO DIE FOR. 
It is absolutely gorgeous. One of the best that I have seen.
You should be very proud of yourself, especially since you have taught youself.
I too have taught myself, but I don't think I would or could ever be this good.
