I'm going to try to make some ocean-like water with a shoreline.

I've got some piping gel and I was planning on coloring it blue for water. But, I'd like to make some white in there too to get foam effect. Before I waste product and time trying this on my own....

Should I mix some bc with it? Or should I just swirl a little bc in it after I've placed the piping gel on the cake?

Thanks for any input/answers.

S.

sonoma9,
You know I am not sure which effect would work best for you, so I would suggest practicing on a paper plate before you do the cake cuz either way would work it is what you feel comfortable doing.

I have done this before and I added some buttercream after the pipng gel and kind of mixed it in there. I have never tried mixing buttercream with the gel.

I mixed gel with royal icing and was happy with the result.
