I received 3 samples todayof Fondx Bright White, White ChocolateFondant Bright White and Chocolate. The sample size was about 2x2 in thin squares. The chocolate tasted like Toosie Roll and and both of the others had little to no flavor. Although both were labeled "Bright White" the white chocolate was much more off white. There was no price list or ordering info included. I guess no flavor is better than Wilton's terrible taste fondant, but I was hoping for a more positive experience.

I think you are going to love Fondx. Smells wonderful, tastes pretty good too if you like fondant, and it rolls out and goes onto the cake so easily, very little smoothing required.

Just go on the website and send them an e-mail in the contact us section. In the comments section write, Please send me any samples you may have. Thank you.

That's all I did and they sent them within a week!

I to love fondx, not only is the price fantastic, but it goes much farther than other brands that I have used. I have also have had lots of people comment on the fact that it didn't overpower the cake flavors and blended nicely. By the way dirt tastes better that wilton's fondant. I wish they would get on board and improve the flavor and the price. I just went to Cocoa Outlet's web site and clicked on contact us and there was directions on how to request puchacing info and request free samples.

I actually got an e-mail from them asking for my address. I left them a second request for samples the other day (Fri? Sat? Don't remember) since everyone was receiving theirs and I hadn't. They said they e-mailed me when they got the first request and that maybe it was deleted as spam if I have a spam blocker (which I do, but I still get spam constantly). Weird. Very weird especially because both times I submitted my address in the fields provided.

Oh well, hopefully I'll get my samples soon. So far I've tried Penttinice which I liked. And I recently purchased black and red Satin Ice, but haven't tried it yet. Can't wait to compare and contrast.

I got mine saturday and I wasn't inpressed with the taste, but I hate fondont. I also didn't have any ordering instructions or prices, I thought that was kinda strange.

Patricia, they might be out of the ordering instructions, etc. With so many of us CCers having converged on them all at once, they didn't stand a chance.

I received an e-mail on Monday because they didn't have my address (even though I left it on the 'contact us page') then I received the samples on Thurs or Fri of this same week. I only got the three tiny ones though. The bright white, dark chocolate and white chocolate. Since I was running late for a deadline and in the middle of baking I put them to the side to try later which I will do later today.

Yep, I received all 5 different flavors as well. The only one I did not like was the caramel.
Loved the raspberry!

Is it me or does this company just seem very arbitrary to how it handles sending out its samples?

I got a sample last week and a sample this week. I think they sent me your sample, Sugar Plum!

I didn't like the caramel either. I did like the Fondx because it didn't have much of a taste and might be good for cakes that already have a good flavor. The raspberry was sooo good!

I didn't get a pricing guide. Got an email that they were all out of catalogs and pricing guides. Would you mind sharing? I'm curious how it compares to Satin Ice.

Hello all,

I would like to get samples of this Fondx from the company. How would I go about getting my sample in a couple of days? icon_smile.gif

I received their samples last week. The only one that I would actually order is the dark chocolate. I like Satin Ice better than Fondx. I did like the fondant ribbons that I found on their website. I would order these for sure.

WOW those ribbons are beautiful. I did some checking and found that a 10# Fondx from cocoa outlet was $28.75. At cakedecostore.com it is only $24.75 for 10#. I don't know what shipping is at either.

Because they are in Hawaii, shipping is very expensive. I put a couple of items in my cart (nothing super heavy) and the shipping was at $21, so I decided to do some more searching first. On another site, the same items cost $8.95 to ship. The shipping cost would deter me from purchasing.

OMG, that's freaking hilarious! I am sitting here craving something sweet but there's nothing sweet in the house...but I have all my FondX samples! icon_lol.gif Thanks for the suggestion! LOLOLOLOL

Let's see...I got "White Chocolate Fondant Bright White," plain "Bright White," "Dark Chocolate Fondant," and an unlabeled light brown sample. It's kinda weirding me out a little that they're in ziplock bags...I hope these people washed their hands before handling the fondant.

I REALLY wanted the White Chocolate Raspberry!! icon_cry.gif
