Loved it and the other two. That character 'Jack Sparrow' could not be played better by anyone else. Johnny Depp is perfect for the role

Saw it . Loved it. Did anyone stay long enough to see the additional scene at the end. I missed it. I am hoping for a 4th movie. Johnny Depp is my boyfriend he just doesn't know it yet.

My 8 year old is going nuts, we live in the middle of nowhere and the theater is just getting Spiderman 3 in this weekend so he has a while before Pirates is less than 2 hours away. I'm not that into them so it isn't bugging me, it's going to drive me crazy when Harry Potter comes out. icon_lol.gif

Oh no! I didn't stay for the credits because my kids (8 & 5) were needing to RUN to the bathroom. I just knew there would be something extra then too icon_cry.gif When I go with DH (he had to work when I took the kids) we'll definitely stay for it.

We all loved the movie icon_biggrin.gif

They do have some children's books about a young Jack Sparrow, we got one from the book fliers they send home from school. It was a chapter book, not very hard, about 120 pages long.

I loved the movie overall, but have to admit I was disappointed in the ending. I would have preferred something happier - but then I like fairy tale endings. Have to go see it again now.

Went and saw it last Friday night. Spur of the moment thing except we went to the 10:00 showing and I feel asleep for about the middle 30-35 minutes.

But what I saw was great! I can't wait to see the whole thing now. Wish we knew there we additions at the end, we would have stayed instead of leaving right away.

ok im totally expecting a 4th out of that movie. I wish I knew about the end of credits thing. It drives me nuts when I dont stay for it all.

Susan, I agree about the opening scene. Talk about bone chilling. Its one of the things that stuck out the most with me.

im not sure about number one but at the end of number 2 there was another scene as well. orlando said on jay leno he would love to do more and is looking forward to doing number ten coming out in his walker with johnny in a wheelchair. I liked that keiras character wasnt as needy this time around. i tell my hubby all the time that i would leave him in a heart beat to be with my johnny. lol i love me some johnny depp.

yes! I saw it last Thursday night icon_biggrin.gif Unfortunately, I live in a small town and we were in the upper part of the small theater the next town over and we were sitting on metal fold-away chairs icon_sad.gif Talk about UNcomfortable! I was just sitting there and couldn't wait for the movie to be over so I could get out of that chair!

That said, it was a fun movie and I hope to see it again if it comes into the closer theater. They have squishy chairs icon_razz.gif It was a fun movie...a little confusing though...probably cause I wasn't paying attention while sitting on those darn chairs icon_rolleyes.gif

oh and sexy men? w00t! I used to not think Orlando Bloom was sexy (lord of the rings) but in Pirates, he is Hawt!

dh took me to see it this past weekend! i really liked it, but two things bothered me.

1. there were two kids (probably about 13 years old) sitting behind me who wouldn't shut up the entire time. and one kid who kept kicking my chair the entire movie. when i turned around to say something to him, he decided to cough on me for the rest of the movie.... grrrr... icon_evil.gif

2. it won't come out on dvd fast enough!

i love me some cap'n jack!

I am in LOVE with the pirates movies and both leading men (although I would take Johnny if I had to choose). I loved the movie...the special effects get better with each film and I hope they keep making them. Johnny Depp was on the MTV awards last night and he looked adorable (as usual!!)

I wish I would have known that there was an aditional scene at the end...what happened? I took my brother the thursday night it opened to the ten oclock show for his birthday (we have seen all of the pirates movies together) and he jumped up as soon as the credits hit so I missed it!!!!!

Saw it, hated it. The first was the best and the others are only damaging the great movie it is. For some reason the writers think that by adding as many plots, twists, and myth the movie will be better.

Listen all i wanted to see was this.
1. get rid of Jones
2. Barbosa go away
3. Jack back as captin of the black pearl
and most importantly 4. Elizabeth and Will get married, live in a cute little white house, make babies, and LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER!

I am so disappointed.
