I got my wedding cake done, delivered and I still made it to the church on time with husband and son in tow!
Here was my schedule on Friday and Saturday up to the cake served at the reception part-
Friday: woke up at 6:30am, started assembling 14" round about 30 minutes later, got it decorated completely by 9am, started on 6" round (this one had 3 layers) and got it completely decorated in time to take son to swimming lessons by 10:30am, while son is at swimming lessons, drop summerfest tickets off at cousin's house that is 10 minutes away, pick son up, drop son off at pool party, drive into Milwaukee to the Vici's Beauty School for a mani/pedi with bridal party (the only person to arrive on time) I wait for everyone to show up so that we can get it done together...get done with mani/pedi by 2:30/3pm, drive home, pick son up from mom's house, start assembling 10" round by 3:30/4pm, had to stop due to wedding rehearsal at church at 5pm. After rehearsal, went to dinner...passed motorcycle accident on freeway...people I was riding with stopped to help (one of the people was a nurse) guy someone dumped bike and hit at least 2 cars and hit his head (with NO helmet on) thankfully he was conscience. Go to dinner, after dinner I go home to get things ready for Saturday..I got my dress ready and then I went to bed by 10:30pm, husband comes home later (he was chauferring parents around) to bring son home to bed and he goes back out...does not come home until 2AM.
Saturday-
Woke up a 7am for 8am hair appt. Get hair done, drop off rent payment in town at landlord's house, get home by 9:30ish, get started on 10" round, have several distractions along the way with MIL and people arriving at my house to get directions to the hair salon and such..get cake finished by 10:30ish am...oh no still have to cut the dowel rods icon_surprised.gif Get that done despite distractions from MIL, husband and son...get car loaded up (despite again MIL distractions) get to restaurant by 11:30ish...get cake downstairs, and set up and car reloaded again with boxes leftover from cake and on the road to the church by 12:30ish..stop at McD's to get lunch so that no one passes out during the ceremony...I get it to go....eat on the way to the church (speeding on the way shhh.gif ), get to the church between 1-1:30pm before the bride arrives along with the other 2 bridesmaids. Get son dressed, help husband to get dressed...I get dressed and put my makeup on....recruit the groom's mother to pin bout's and corsage's on (that I made).....put makeup on the bride's mother for her...ceremony gets started late..BUT it was very beautiful!
Had a BLAST at the dinner and reception..DIDN'T have to cut my own cake. Had cake after dinner right away...had to correct the waitstaff on one of the cake flavors (they thought it was black forest, nope it was chocolate amaretto)...but got a lot of compliments on how good the cake looked and how good it tasted!
Will be adding uploading pic's shortly for everyone to see!

Uploaded 2 pics, one of the cake and the table it was set up on and also a close up of the cake to see some of it's detail.
Just click on the "photos" button in my post to get to see my photos...otherwise I uploaded them into the Round Wedding Cakes photo album.

Yes..now it's time to catch up on housework...I think this would have been way easier to do if I didn't have a full-time job!
