Being tickled...I don't know why, but it scares me. I absolutely hate it. My DH makes fun of me for it.
I know it's completely irrational and probably pathetic, but IT SCARES ME! ![]()
Spiders. I'm better than I was but I can't even watch the TV if they're on. I'm really mad at my youngest's godparents, they went on vacation and brought back some bug toys for the kids, one of them is a spider that moves. He didn't know I had a problem with them and he thought it was great that I do. the kids have been told to keep it away from me or it gets burned.
Okay, to start off with, i'm terrified of panthers. I have never seen one. but my family and I live in a wooded area and i'm afriad to go out at night in fear that there is one nearby. I even know what sound the make. They sound like a woman's scream. *shuders* When I was about 7 years old I had a dream that a panther was chasing me through the woods and the woods never ended no matter how far I went, and the panther kept coming nearer and nearer til it jumped on my back. I woke up at that point. It has been about 9 1/2 years since that dream and I can still see that panther as if I was having it again.
lol Yet, I like the Carolina Panthers! (they are a football team) Crazy huh?
Jami
Frogs.
When I was little my older brother used to chase me around the house and yard with one in his hands. I would run around screaming while everyone laughed. I got him back though because I made him eat a real mud pie.
i really fear that i'm not raising my children to be emotional healthy strong adults, i'm not sure if i'm making sense, i just feel like my children need more than i'm giving, but i just don't know what it is.
I think the very same thing!
Another thing i'm deathly scared of are spiders!!!
Which I guess this is common for women?
Graddaddy long-legs are fine. I know they are harmless (unless you are an insect, then you might worry!
). But other than those I hate them!! I freak out even with the tiny spiders. I'm pathetic. I'm supposed to be a country girl and here i am afriad of spiders!
Jami
RATS!
I am so terribly afraid of them. I have had nightmares about them. If I see one I am like one of those crazy ladies you see on t.v. I run and jump on the nearest thing thats up off the floor. I'm getting sick at my stomach just thinking about the nasty little varmits. (Yeah, LOL, i'm from Southeasten Ky and I do say varmit
)
I should probably say no more since I'm sure I already sound crazy enough but since I had mentioned it in another post awhile back the secret is already out.
I am terrified of clowns and monkeys. Smaller monkeys and baby monkeys don't bother me so much - its more the big monkeys, apes, gorillas. Oddly enough I can see them on TV but you couldn't drag me to the primate house at the zoo!
I definitely am afraid of spiders too. I hate those wolf spiders - I swear they come after you! ![]()
Okay, i wanted to see what the wolf spider looks like and YIKES! That is one scary spider!!
And to think, there is a Carolina Wolf Spider! (i'm from NC) ![]()

Edited: Sorry! I've taking it off. (big hug) didn't mean to give anyone a heartattack!
Heights, mice, cats and dogs...not an animal person ![]()
Okay this sounds ridiculous, but I hate zombies! I hate zombie movies and every time I see one I have nightmares. My hubby teases me and thinks it's cute. But they really creep me out.
Oh, I also hate clowns. YUCK!!!!
I hate MICE and RATS...same ugly thing to me! Once at work, we were having problems with mice so they had placed a glue trap near the wall of my work area. Yup, I was sitting at my desk, minding my own business, when I heard it EEEK EEEK EEEK! I flew out of my chair, climbed up on my desk, and flew over the counter-top. You know how you see crooks fly over fences, just a one-handed flying leap? That's what I did! And the funnier part, at the time I weighed near 300 lbs. How the heck I managed that flying leap is a mystery. The entire staff just about peed their pants laughing.
I will not enter a room if I spot a mouse or mouse droppings.
I'm afraid that I won't be able to have children. I've had that fear for as long as I can remember.
Also afraid of heights! I too freeze up, or start to have a panic attack.
Most afraid of something terrible happening to my kids. I know that I can't control some things, but the thought of something ever happening to my boys can keep me up at night.
OK, just read this entire post, and my skin is just crawling! My biggest fear by far is snakes. I don't know how it started, but my grandpa and my mom are also afraid of snakes.
Was at a bar once, and people were looking at something on the ground, I turned around, and a snake had crawled through the door. (Small town bar!). I was ontop of that bar in seconds flat!!! They chased it out, but I wouldn't put my feet on the floor forever! (Bad part was I really had to use the bathroom!
)
Saw two snakes while outside at work. One crawled right out of the ground in front of me! OK, can't talk about it anymore....I just know I"ll have nightmares tonight. I can't even see one on TV or in a book and I have nightmares!
Why oh why did I read this post!! ![]()

I'm going to be mean here but I saw a snake slithering down hill on the side of the road leading down into my developement today! Yeah, I don't like 'em either!
Sorry,
Amy
I am with Monica on this one...
I hate Camel Crickets.
I first encountered these creatures while I was a senior in college. My roommate and I were living off campus in a duplex with a crawlspace under it. I think this was the camel cricket headquarters. Every day we would have one or two in the house. I did some reading on them and I guess they are blind, but I tell you what, when you go to kill them, they ALWAYS jump towards you and not away from you. They are so creepy and unpredictible. I thought my camel cricket days were over until I found them in our basement last winter. Now I just keep a fly swatter handy so I can keep my distance from them.
They look like crickets, but have a soft skin that looks like frog skin.....UGH!
What am I afraid of??? HMMMMM...that my in-laws will keep multiplying and their life expectancies will get longer and that I will never ever ever EVER again just live with my spouse and children alone again. And THEN my husband will get a big fat raise ensuring that none of them will ever have to seek employment, becoming professional moochers....till death do we part.
ummm-now that I re-read that, it doesn't sound snarfy of me does it?
As for the story that goes with that, everyone that's married can use their imaginaton and see where it's going.

Oh my, that made me laugh!!! None of my in laws live with us, but we all live side by side...literally. First it's MIL's house, the down the road a bit it's us, to our left is BIL, then SIL, then DH's grandmother, down the lane way a bit is his uncle and their gaggle of kids. It's to the point that if DH takes a day off from work, and they see his truck in the driveway, we'll get at least 2 calls to find out why he's home from MIL & Gram and FIL coming by so DH can do something for him.
So, I can relate to the fear of multiplying in laws, not that's SCARY!!!!
I don't like snakes. They give me the creeps. But my only fear is something happening to me and not seeing my daughter grow up. She's my only child, I love her too much, and I pray everyday for her welfare and my husband's and mine. In our family, my sister and brother-in-law are the only people we have complete trust in raising our daughter as if she was their own. My personal believe is that if family members don't like me, they will not like my child. I think about this everyday, and it will be on my mind till she reaches adulthood.
Emi
NOTHING! I've walked over snakes while brush higging my field, had bats in my house for days (they'd hide during the day but fly around at night), have bugs and bees buzzing around the garden, and me!, all the time and I live in the middle of nowhere by myself without street lights where it gets VERY dark at night. If I don't leave the house lights on, you wouldn't know a house was sitting on that hill, that's how dark it gets! Having lived on my own since the age of 16, I guess I learned to not let anything spook me.
Oooooooo, you and I would get along famously! I live 10 miles from the nearest person deep in the woods, and about the only fear I have is cancer. (long family story I won't bore yall with)
I can see from reading here I'd better keep quiet about some of my pets. I'd have half of yall with the shudders, lol. I love animals-period. Snakes, lizards, whatever. Although at the moment I'm not overly fond of the two packs of coyotes that have taken up residence on either side of my land. Killers all. The poor rabbits and deer!
