This is the first time I have made something just for a competition... from what I am told, its not a really strict competition, so I thought it would be a good one to enter!!
The subject was "Boots - yesterday, today tomorrow"
This is was my second idea....my original idea was to make three Holden car boots, a vintage model, one from today and a concept car but I couldn't find three decent pics!!
.......Anyway this is what I came up with instead..... I will hopefully post a better pic when the galleries are up again ![]()
WOW they are amazing. The laces look so real. What are they made of?
It's totally amazing!!!! I can't believe how life-like it is!
If you don't win - I'll come and punch the judges for you! These are absolutely AMAZING! ![]()
Hands down you're the WINNER....I have never seen anything that looked so real, I too thought it was a pic of the boot you were going to use as your model....my gosh, you are remarkable!!! ![]()

Wow. I agree with everyone else. I thought it was a picture of what you were planning on doing. I keep looking at it and cannot believe they aren't real boots!!! Amazing. You should definitely win! Good Luck!
Ok...I give up...How on EARTH do you accomplish something like that? As well as the horse in your gallery??? Ok...instructions please!! ![]()
Thanks everyone !!!
lynda-bob - you got it....the skin/fur is the yesterday!! I was going to make a closed shoebox with tissue paper and a shoe lace hanging out from the lid.... but I thought this was more fun and sort of bought the whole thin together..... and a lot easier! ![]()
I was rather hoping you lived near Tulsa, Ok. So that I could see that at the upcoming Sugar Art Show in September
. So now I will just have to see your picture here and dream of doing something like that some day. Great Job!!!!
yippee....My boots won!!!
I won a gift voucher to be spent at the cake decorating stalls..... unfortunately the winners weren't announced until the Sunday and I was there on Saturday
.... Thankfully my MIL was there and picked me up some equipment I had been drooling over on the Saturday ![]()
Oh
My
Gosh!!!
