Wow! Those are adorable...bet you never want to see another poodle, though!
They are SO adorable. If you lived closer I would loan you my pink poodle cake plate to display them on. The wood grain turned out very well, looks like wood to me.
Can you tell me why the wooden skewer in the mouths? I know they must be there for a specific reason but can't figure it out.

These are soo cute! And I was wondering the same thing!

I thought they were supposed to be smoking..... ![]()
my bad........heh, I have alot to learn still.......
Is the wood there to keep their mouths open until they dry?
If those were my grandma's poodles, their toenails would've been painted bright red! (Ah, the memories. lol)
They look great! ![]()
I can't wait to see the finished cake! Those poodles are just too cute, they all have personality.
The poodles are so cute. I was also wondering about the skewers in the mouth.
Wonderful job! They are adorable! And your wood grain is excellent!
Not much of a story. LOL.
Hannah wanted a poodle party for her 5th birthday. Somehow it turned into Oodles of Noodles and Poodles. Then she said she wanted a bowl of noodles on the cake. Suddenly, this is what happened. Here's a sketch of basically, what I'm thinking. I dont' know that I can pull off the tablecloth, but we'll see what happens. Fondant actually ON the cake, makes me crazy. I'm pretty good at sculpting, but not at covering.
You did such an amazing job! They are so adorable and such character!! Fantastic ![]()

Okay, first - what an adorable design! I have the same thing as you when covering a cake
, but I can sculpt pretty well. It's a tablecloth right? How about just draping it over the cake-even partially covering it, and you want the wood table top to show anyway, don't you? I think this is going to be one cute cake ![]()

Great idea, but the wood is the floor ![]()
So, I wanted the bottom tier of the cakes to be covered in the drapey fondant. I figured that I might have a better chance at teh drape than actually covering a cake without wrinkles. This way, they are supposed to be there!! ![]()
Just color me green with envy/jealousy. Those have definitely got the "WOW"
factor! A tutorial would be great. I wouldn't have a clue how to start.
