Just wanted to share my happy news. Especially since when I told my hubby he said "wow a pan" lol!

I bought my first magic line pans today! icon_biggrin.gif After reading all the wonderful reviews I decided I had to try them out. I bought two square pans - I've never made a square cake. I want to make a square tomorrow. So I'm off to find the how to make corners article!

I make square cakes with no problems. Not sure what you need to learn about corners. Magic Line sides are straight and making corners is easy. Just use the large offset spatula to smooth sides. Have fun

I am hooked on Magic line too! I bought two wilton pans for the wedding cake I just did a couple of weeks ago, and I don't like them at all!! Not for anything serious anyway. I will never use a wilton round or square pan again!

Is there really a huge difference in the round Wilton and Magic Line. I can testify to the square pans difference vs Wiltons square pans. But it seems like a round pan is a round pan. I don't have any magic line pans but I did purchase a nice set of square pans for Cakepans4less. I believe they are made by Parrish. Very reasonable and quick shipping for anyone that maybe be interested.

I think the Magic Line conducts heat (I think thats what I want to say) better. I LOVE mine....I use my others for "less serious" cakes.

As wgoat5 stated, Magic Line are a heavier/higher quality metal and conduct heat much more evenly! I've noticed my cakes bake so nice and even and are very light in color on the outside (not so browned like when I use Wilton) and they literally PLOP right out of the pan. If you invest in one....say an 8" round, you'll NEVER look back....PROMISE! They're wonderful!

Magic line to me is the same as crisco to hi-ratio or having a television DVR vs not. ROFL

I'm also a Magic Line convert!!

Unfortunately - my supply shop has started to carry a new brand - Fat Daddy's - says that they are comparable to the Magic Line, just cheaper. I bought 2 10" and 2 12"... and so far, I am not thrilled. The edges pull far away and crust up something fierce. I'm going back to magic line...

How do the Magic Line compare to the pans carried by Pfeil and Holing at www.cakedeco.com? I bought my contour pans from them and just love the quality, but I've only baked with them once and I'm not sure yet how they stack up in use. It seemed to me that they took a little longer to bake. Their prices were the best I'd found, too.

IMO Pfeil & Holing pans are the same quality as Magic Line. They're made of the same heavier steel. No more crispy cakes!! My only pet peeve w/ Pfeil & Holing is they'll ship a 5# bucket of fondant in the same box as the pans. I've had to have DH straighten a few!

Yes, must agree their packaging leaves something to be desired. So far everything has come through ok, and they seem to be honorable and would take care of anything that didn't.

Now that I have Magic Line, any pan I have in the same shape that is the other brand is going in my garage sale. I LOVE MAGIC LINE!!! I understand your enthusiasm!

When we opened our seond bakery - I ordered new pans, I bought 6 of every size and shape that Majic Line sold. They have been WONDERFUL!!!!!!! they hold their shape just fine with all the wear and tear around here. Very impressive.
