I needed some practice (wrong day to do it with the HUMIDITY). Please any comments welcome. I made one cake and just went from there. Picked and poked with 3 different designs. Tell me which one is the best for my album! icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif Thanks Lisa icon_biggrin.gif

It depends on what you want your album to reflect. If you want to provide an idea of versatility, put all three. If you want to promote elegance, skip the second one. If you want to promote fun, do just the second one. HTH

take all three!!! Show variety!!!

Can I ask (might be a dumb question) what did you use for the sparkling effect on the first one? It might be obvious for some, but I still need to learn things, and this one I just don't know?!? thanks

Lorris

All three are great!!! My favorite is the blue rose cake. For your album, I would use all 3--never know who will ultimately want to make an order. thumbs_up.gif

I used the wilton sparkling sugar (think that's what it's called) I had seen it used in wiltons latest book. It was pretty easy to work with.

Nope no cake orders icon_cry.gif Just practicing. I made the one with blue roses 1st then stripped the roses off and added the sugar effect. Aftewr that just decorated the other half with the drop flowers. icon_rolleyes.gif

I like all three - it shows diversity. each one has it's own traits that are admirable.

elegent -- smelegent!

I've already made up my mind that when I get fully legal if they want "elegent" ala white wedding froo-froo style...fugehdahabouit! I'll refer them to one of the full service bakeries in town.

I'm going to crave out a niche doing fun, odd, unique cakes: 3-D, carved, funky fondant (whimsy and beyond) (good business sense as the other bakeries don't do these kinds)

so let's hear it for that second cake!!!!! it's a keeper too.

Hey, I'm going with all 3! They are all beautiful! I would definately put them all in if I had done all that work. besides, people like to see everything you can do. They may take an idea from several different ones.

I also like all three. The first one is very pretty. The second one would be great for my mom's birthday (July 4th)...the third is also very pretty. Put them all in your album, different occasions require different cakes!!
