Hi All,
I was just wondering if anyone has the Scrollwork Cake Stand from Wilton (shown below) that they would be willing to let me borrow/rent in July. I need it for a cake Saturday July 7th and it is so expensive, I really hate to have to buy it to use it very little. Or if anyone knows anywhere I can buy it cheap or used, I would appreciate it.
Thank you in advance,
HeatherMari

P.S. I am in Michigan by the way
LL

Which one are you looking for? The 9 inch, 13 inch or 17 inch?

I bought the large and the small one from Michael's a couple of months ago. The large one was on clearance normally $80 down to $40 and I used my 40% off coupon. That would save you something if you were looking to use the large one.

Thanks! I'll have to check Michael's.
As of right now, I just need the 9" (smallest plate with tallest legs).

I live in MI I bought the large one and just as concor it was on clearance and I had a coupon.

I notice now they have the smaller one on clearance.

I guess I really should go and get that one too.

I got the middle-sized one on clearance at Michael's for 15 bucks a couple of months ago. If I were you, I'd hit every Michaels in town. LOL

Yea, that's a good idea. I went to the cake shop today and then rent all that stuff there.

My local cake shop doesn't rent that one because they sell it. I went to the only Michael's around here and they have the small one on clearance....for $49.99! They consider that clearance? The regular price is $59.99!
I'll probably just have to wait for a good coupon and go buy that one.
Thanks everyone!

You're right, that's not a clearance

Even though the price certainly isn't worthy of being called "clearance" priced, it's that way in the Michaels system because they won't be reordering more and thus you won't be able to use your coupon on it. icon_sad.gif I'm watching the couple in my Michaels like a hawk to eventually go down. I don't understand why the other two sizes went to really low prices but that one seems stagnant at 50 bucks, which is ridiculous.

I have rarely found a bargin on E-Bay. It's not like it use to be, it's turned big business. Every once in a while I will check it out and usually I can buy it for less at the store.

I had both the middle sized one and the largest sized one but stupid me took back the large one. dunce.gif At the time I was just taking the Wilton course and thought gee what will I need the 17" one for? I didn't think I'd be making wedding cakes and such at that time. Now I could kick myself since I can't find it at Michales anymore for $19.00. I agree with everyone else about the small one still being $49.00 and that being their clearance price. icon_surprised.gif O well live and learn I guess. At least I have the middle sized one and get my use out of it. icon_smile.gif

You can use a coupon on the small one at michaels! It shows clearance on the shelf but when it rings up, it does not show sale or clearance at the register. So, it will ring up $49.99 and then you can use your coupon. That is what I did. 40% off is better than paying $49.99!

It should cost you 29.99,

My Michaels' had it on clearance for 49.99 and I didn't get it.

This week they had it marked down to 29.99 and I got it for 17.99
