I bought this stuff today and im not sure if its what i thought it was. i originally set out to buy Wilton Rolled fondant to cover a cake board for decoration(would never eat the stuff)
Anyway this lady at the store was like we have the wilton ready fondant or the wilton dry fondant you make yourself so i grabbed the make it yourself kind (always trying to save when i can) and when i got home i noticed the package only had instructions to make fondant cream centers for desserts and such. Did i buy the wrong thing or can i actually make rolled fondant out of this?
PLease help.....i dont want to return it if i dont have to the other stuff was double the price ![]()
Dry fondant mix is for candy centers or sometimes poured fondant. I haven't ever seen it used for rolled fondant.
You can go back and buy the Ready-to-use stuff, or make your own.
The recipe and instructions for marshmallow fondant-MMF are in the recipe section.
Sorry, no way that I know of that you can easily convert dry fondant (for candy cream centers) into rolled fondant.
You can convert rolled fondant to cream fondant or glaze by heating it and adding water to it....but I don't know of any way to do the other way around.., sorry.

Hmm I haven't seen this in the Wilton brand. Wonder if it is new.
