So I'm "mass producing" these bouquets for mothers day and am having a hard time pricing them. Does anyone have any idea how to price them? The 2nd bouquet is a dozen chocolate dipped oreos! Thanks so much for all your help! I'd be lost without all my CC'er friends!

I would charge about 4 dollars for each cookie and then add an extra amount for your supplies and bouquet. Like add an extra 6 dollars or more if your containers were pricey. As for the oreos... no clue!

I would say no less than $4 per cookies (for the larger ones), maybe $3 for smaller ones, plus all your other costs. Mine are $4 per cookie, but I figured out my cost per the penny when I primarily did cookie bouquets....from the cookie itself (ingredients) to the bag, tie, stick, foam, filler, container, business card in bouquet, etc, so I knew exactly what my cost was for each one. Then you must consider your time! I figured out what profit margin I wanted to have and priced accordingly! So, it really depends on your cost and how much $ you want to make!

Love the cookies! I agree with the others for the pricing. I was wondering, though, did you make your rose cutter? I have been looking for a good design and have yet to find one. I love yours!

Thanks for all the compliments! I am happy with the way they turned out. All my cookies are Penny's recipe, and Antonia74's royal icing with a few tbsp of Karo syrup to help it dry a little shinier. I made the cookie cutter myself, for the roses and the tulips. : )

Really nice work on your bouquets!! I charge $20 for the smaller(5 cookies) bouquets you have made, and up to 45 for the larger (10 cookies). Most of my bouquets are about 6-7 cookies depending on the size of each cookie, and they run 35. No idea on the oreos but from what Ive seen in other peoples photos is that they are quite detailed. You have great containers, and workmanship. Dont sell yourself short, these bouquets take alot of time!!

yes, I have to agree with everyone else. I went to Micheal's and the metal tins were expensive in itself for the bouquets.

Gorgeous! May I ask if you are putting something in the bottom of the containers to weigh them down? How do you keep them from toppling over?

Penny's recipe from Texas Monthly:

Butter Cookie Dough

1 cup salted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
2 tablespoons whipping cream (or milk)
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon almond extract (butter flavor)
3 cups unbleached flour
11/2 teaspoons baking powder

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a mixer combine butter and sugar. Add egg, cream, vanilla, and almond extract all at once and thoroughly blend. In a separate bowl stir together flour and baking powder. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ones and blend. Roll out to a thickness of about 1/4 inch and cut with a cookie cutter. Bake on a greased cookie sheet 8 to 12 minutes and cool on a rack. Makes about 3 dozen cookies. (Dough does not need to be chilled before using.)
