Mmf Coloring...please Help!!!

I have made my fisrt batch of MMF and I am now trying to color it using wilton coloring paste. IT IS NOT WORKING!!!! It is not asboring the color. Please tell me you know why and what to do.Thanks so much!!!!!

someone said something about adding a little
water to the paste and you add in the marsh
mix before sugar.

you have to really work it in...knead it and knead it and knead it

I like to put mine in the microwave for a few seconds at a time (careful, it will be hot), then add the food coloring, put crisco on your hands and knead it in (make sure you're wearing gloves or you'll get color on your hands). It is much easier to do when it is warm. If you're doing the whole batch of MMF one color, it is easier to add the coloring in after you've melted the MM, then let your mixer do all the work of kneading it in.

Chris J is right. It works so much better if you are adding color to a slightly warm MMF.

It is a bit late now, but if you are coloring a whole batch, add the color with the liquid before you add the sugar. Make it just a bit darker than you want the end color.

Kneading it in after is a lot more work.
