I posted a pic of my carved gator cake, and with all the photo stuff going on here it came up all wierd and it was only viewed six times (three of those were me). Anyway, I'd appreciate you guys taking a look. ![]()

Thanks Dustbunny! I hate it when that happens. Most of the views in my pics are me...checking to see if anyone has made any comments.
I viewed and left a comment as well...It looks wonderful...on the level that I would like to do, just haven't had the occassion to display creative talents...Excellent job!!! ![]()
Wow!!!! Do you have directions for this?? I would love to have them!!
I left a reply under the photo. That is soooo cool! Well done.

I thought you could set your CC preferences, so that you could be emailed when somone left a comment on a photo or replied to a forumn post.
I would also LOVE if you had directions. But I'm sure it would be to much of a bother to write em down. Your cake looks SO AMAZING!!! I would like to know how you did the scales or whatever on the top. Everything blends so smoothy together. Did you attach them then smooth it or.......?
mine look all weird too. i just posted a round wedding cake and it looks off centered in the thumbnail
I just looked at it again and...... Wow! its amazing.
I get timed out when I try and look at pics in the forums or galleries. I am so bummed about it. I am at work and the computer here does it and my computer at home does it. I know it's not me. I think it's the servers at CC, they just can't keep up. It's so depressing though seeing all these thumb sized photos but you want to see the details to it and can't. Oh well. Maybe we should have a fund raiser for CC so they can get another server!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So anyways that's why I can't see your cake.
Thank you all so much! I too share your frustration with the galleries, but I know Jackie is working on it. There are just so many pics uploaded every day. I'm not sure what they are going to do all of them.
This was my first attempt at a Gator cake, but after all the National Championships, I think I'll be making more of these!
great cake. how hard was it to cover it in fondant, being that big?
Yes thanks for posting it here...he's awesome!

It was really difficult! Thank goodness my fondant stretches a little or I would have never made it! It took my husbands help too. In the beginning I would never let him touch my cake stuff, but now he's the only one I trust to help with things.
I never let my BF touch anything cake. But then one day I had a cake disaster and got really frustrated so he just said "don't worry about it, I'll bake you another one" I was like "What?!?" haha I have so many little tricks I do when I bake I said he wouldn't know them all and I didn't feel like explaining. BUT I guess he had been watching me bake before and it came out Perfect! He let me rest for a few hours, gave me a perfect cake ready to decorate!! So now I let him help a little as long as his hands are clean!!
Great Gators lady. This was so cool. I bet everyone loved it. I know my boys would go crazy. Good job. ![]()
Great Gator!! Also, you ladies with hubbies and boyfriends willing to help really have someone special!!!!! Mine just rolls his eyes and turns the T.V up!
Daniellemhv, I'd never let hubby go near the oven! He is the only person I take with me to set up wedding cakes. If I could just teach him to roll out fondant I'd be so happy. I keep telling him he can be my Geoff (from Ace of Cakes.)
OMG! That gator is awesome! My three year old son was sitting in my lap when I looked at it and he pointed and said "Wow". Well done. I don't think I would have the guts to even try that.
Great gator cake. I too have been having tons of problems trying to get into the galleries so I appreciate the link! Great job!
