I bought some Rich's Bettercream the other day and just tried to make it. I chilled the bowl and and followed the directions on the can. For some reason it is still liquid. Can this be saved or is it totaly gone?? icon_cry.gif

keep beating it. sometimes it takes 10 minutes or so. Once it starts to thicken, it will whip up faster.

So, is it ok to go back to it and start beating again? Sorry, this stuff is new to me.

Sure. This product is generally forgiving, unless you leave it out to get warm.

Just keep whipping.

Thank you, Thank you, and Thank you. It is beating as I type. I did keep it cold while I was waiting for an answer.

Are you beating with the flat beater or the whisk? I beat 15 minutes with no effect last time, and then switched to the whisk. It only needed a couple of minutes once I switched.

I used the whisk. I did work this time but I don't think I like it very well. I guess I am just a buttercream girl. icon_lol.gif

sarahd....what didn't you like about it? I just bought some at GFS the other day and haven't tried it yet! I'm really excited about it though, as some customers are asking if I offer a "whipped" icing....I would like to say "yes" to them!

It is ok if you like a whipped icing. I am just not fond of any whipped that I have tried so far. So, I guess I will keep trying different ones till I find something I might like. I did try the stabilized whipped and my brother and others liked it so I may just stick with that.
Let me know what you think of it when you try it.
