If you are absolutely positive that the CD containts copyrighted protected images that belong to you and have been used without your permission, you can report this item to ebay:

i agree, i'd love to see what's on it, but i never will, because there's no way i'd purchase it & let someone else profit from it (not knowing for sure if all of the artist gave their permission)

I agree with daltonam, and initially said to myself "I'll be darned if I'm going to aid them in their pursuit", however, it frustrates me that someone may be using other's designs, WITHOUT PERMISSION, for personal gain. I plan to REPORT THEM TO EBAY and provide NEGATIVE feedback on Ebay if necessary. IF there are any images from CC that I recognize, I will let each member know and I think they should also file a report with Ebay, etc.
Please understand that by my purchasing this CD, I in no way mean to upset anyone here on CC....I only want to let this person, and Ebay, know that they shouldn't be doing this without permission. They may be well within their legal rights to sell the images if they're not copyrighted, but it's just not a good way to do business.

I was thinking of doing that too. Just to find out if they are "stealing" pictures..

Isn't it possible she is legitimate? We can buy books with images that were bought/given with permission...why not a DVD?
If the seller is using free images that were not copyrighted, the buyer is paying for the time saved in doing the research. Still legal.
WOW ! You guys sure jump the gun in a hurry..... There are cake sites out there that you can buy CD's with all kinds of cakes on them...... check out some of the wedding sites.... that is where I usually see the ads..... This person sells all sorts of things.... It looks like a demo tape.....
First, no one is "jumping the gun". I reviewed the sellers items as well as their transaction history and feedback (100% positive to date) and they appear honest! I'm simply curious! There is nothing illegal about selling a cd with pictures of cakes on it, however, it's the idea that it may be "without permission" that is discouraging to me. Who knows....they may have a blurb on the cd that credits where the images were found! That would be nice! Again, if images are not copyrighted (and I don't think most of our images are), it's not illegal....I just personally think it's unethical to do so without gaining permission from the owner first, that's all.

Just to clarify for anyone that wants to know. Any photos that are uploaded to cakecentral.com are copyright protected, so no one can legally re-use your images without my written permission. And I have not and will not give permission, so that being said, if there are photos from cakecentral being sold somewhere, they are being sold illegally.
That being said, there is also the chance the owner of the image... uploaded thier photo to cakecentral.com and also gave permission to the cd maker to use it. In which case that is completely legal.
