Hi everyone, just in case a post tread did not come your way on this topic, just want to share information about cake pans to use for the final two tier cake with roses cascade on cake. The book said to use a cake pan size 6X4 (2 each) and cake pans 10X4 (2 each), but does not mention any thing about subsitution of pans in case they are not available at the time of purchase at A.C. Moore or Michael's, well the problem I had after going to Michael's found out that they no longer carry them and no sale representative could not help me.
All they said, I'm sorry but can't help you,
and I needed both sizes for final class. I even called both stores in different location of my resident, but none of the stores no longer carries them. So I decided to call instructor and was told to use 6X2 (2 each) & 10x2 (2 each), was I relieved of this problem. But I called the main headquarters of Wilton and explained to them of the problem and that if all possible if a product is no longer available in the stores, can they write in their Wilton book for some kind of subsitution cake pan sizes or what the matter might be and their respond was that they look into it and have the problem corrected. Hopefully in their new course 3 booklet, so be on the look out as I will. I told that they can leave the cake pan sizes as is, but just to put in parenthesis whatever the subsitution might be just in case customers want to order online or by phone. I never had a problem ordering online, but after becoming a victim of identity theft, do not use online purchasing, that is why I go to the stores instead. Sorry for the spelling and long winded paragraphs. ![]()
Hi the identity theft caught my eye. If you dont mind sharing what scam should I be carefull of?
I never paid attention to that before so I went and got my book. And yes it says that. I just bought the set pans and stacked them 4" high. I didn't even think of buying a 4" deep pan. I do have a 8 x 3" though. My instructor told me to consider the set with the 40% coupon--so I bought them that way. Who knows when they will get the new book out and if they explain it more.

LOL... Oh gosh this sounds like I am at work.
You would be amazed at how many people have never checked their credit reports. While checking your credit reports will not stop identity theft from occuring it does make you aware of any potential trouble.
I laugh at how many people out there think credit cards Are the only source of identity theft. Not so, people will literally dumpster dive to get information. Shred if possible. Cross shredders are the best ones.
Some IT Criminals will go as far as to request a change of address and divert you mail to another address. Then they simply steal information that way.
Make sure you have decent firewall protection for you Computer. Be careful opening up certain Emails that look all official. Just opening it up could open the door for someone to exploit a weakness in your computer security and give them access to you personal files.
Guard your SSN carefully, contrary to popular belief you are not required to give it out except for certain situations. If you do, ask important questions such as:
Why do you need it?
Will you share it with anyone?
How will you protect my SSN?
If you have anymore questions feel free to PM me. The list is way too long to go in to LOL...
P.S. I had A guy tell me he would never be a victim of identity theft because he does not own a computer or use one. I found it funny as hell the way he said it. The sad reality is that too many people Are not aware of the Facts of identity theft either that or they are way too complacent.
