For those of you who use Foam Core, Michael's has it on sale for 87 cents a sheet.
It is usually $3.00 a sheet!

Foamcore is two pieces of oaktag or posterboard with a layer of foam between them. It's more sturdy than just a regular corrugated cakeboard. I know Colette Peters, in her books, says she uses them because they are more sturdy and lightweight (vs. the alternatives such as particleboard or masonite).

Hope that helps.

Foam core board can be found both at Michael's and JoAnn's in the art isle usually near the poster-board.
It can be cut easily to any size or shape using an exacto knife. I glue two pieces together for my bases and I use single layer between my tiers.
