I made MMF for the first time today for some cookies for a bake sale at church tomorrow....Any suggestions would be appreciated!!! Is there any way to speed up the process??? I placed the MMF on the hot cookie and loved it...but the assembly process took me all day to do!!!

Thanks!!

I've never used fondant for cookies yet but heard you can cut out while the cookies are baking and then just place on them as they come out. HTH

BTW cookies look great.

Cute cookies. Can't help you with your question since I haven't used MMF yet. icon_smile.gif

I just tried this recently too. I tried rolling out the MMF while the dough was chilling, then covered it with plastic wrap. While the cookies were baking I was cutting out the MMF to the same shape as whatever cookies were baking. Then when the cookies came out of the oven, the MMF was ready to go on. I did find that when I had to re-roll the MMF, I did not have enough time before the cookies were ready.

I did some with my daughter and she did the MMF while I did the cookies and that worked perfectly. I don't think they'll let me keep her home from school when I have a big order tho icon_lol.gif Maybe we can get faster with practice?

You cookies look good! So you put the MMF on hot cookies? I've never used it. Can't even find a recipe for MMF. Where is it?

Thanks all!! I really liked the cookies with MMF...not as sweet as RI. The kids at church really liked them, that's for sure!!!

I sure hope with practice, I'll get a bit faster! I'm planning on making some for a school bake sale later this week!!!!

Thanks again!

You said the magic words....with practice you will get faster! I use RBC on my cookies and when I first tried it, I thought it took forever, but it gets faster!

I use MMF on cookies, I try to do most of the cutouts before and assemble all the pieces together. I place the assembled cut-outs on the hot cookies. But tiny pieces to take more time. It gets faster the more you do it.

I haven't put MMF on hot cookies yet. So far just when they are cooled, brushing water on the back. Stays on great.
