good to know tcturtleshell.
The last thing I'm interested in doing here at CC is cause conflict.
There's enough of it in every day life to bring it onto an online forum.

I guess I'm gonna need to start taking notes of first names as they come.

Anyone wanna guess mine?????

It's true, after you've picked someone's brains for a few days, you tend to remember their name as a courtesy! icon_wink.gif Unfortunately, Helen was not one I had whined to for help yet... so I was lost! (Notice I said 'yet'.) icon_lol.gif

tcturtle - dang girl, you ARE up early! I have an infant that still likes to disturb my sleep every night, so I basically never want to get out of bed. And then.....when I aboslutely have to get out of bed to get my daughter ready for school.....THIS is when he sleeps nice and soundly. It's a conspiracy, I think.

I do try to nap when he naps during the day....but I'm usually the kind of person, that once I'm up, I'm up. Even napping during the day doesn't make the night any better when my sleep is so disturbed. It really is very torturous at times. AND my son is SEVEN months! He should be sleeping so much better by now!

Bus drivers get up waaaaaay earlier than I'd ever want. I get my energy around 4 pm, so I could never drive safely that early in the morning!

Becky when I had my last child (almost a 12 pder) she slept through the night when we brought her home....she would stay awake during the day and go to sleep at 8 and wake up at 4:30 every morning...in fact when we brought her home we put her in the cradle (which rocked) and she turned completely over, needless to say we couldn't use the cradle she was tooooo big (waste of 200 bucks). My mom and dad always said she was half grown when she was born. icon_smile.gif

He wasn't hurt but it sure scared me & DH half to death! Both my kids were 1/2 grown when they were born too! LOL icon_smile.gif Both 9 pounders~

Tina I had an 8 pd 8 oz boy (13 yr. old )
9 pd girl (10 year old )
and my munchkin my 11 pd 6 oz girl icon_smile.gif which is now 5

She didn't turn the cradle over but she turned over on her belly...we were scared after that to keep her out of our bed! She slept with us till she was 8 months then slept in her crib till she was 2 (until she started playing tarzan and using her boo (blanket) to climb out. But that would scare me to Tina!!! Shes 5 now and she weighs almost 70 pds and shes tall...When she was born she was 22 inches long!!!!!!! lol Oh well gotta love her...she's my little chunkster icon_smile.gif

My son was about 7 mos old before we got him to sleep thru the night (which was ok for us since he was a preemie and still needed to wake up to eat until then) but it took about 6 weeks of literally doing and saying the same thing as part of a bedtime routine and he learned what all of it meant-sleepy time! They have to learn what's expected of them. They don't automatically know what they are supposed to do. But a good bedtime routine that works for you guys is a life-saver (and sanity and sleep saver!). The No-Cry Sleep Solution is a pretty good book to help with all of that.

Oh, you are in SO MUCH TROUBLE NOW!!! My son is 22 months, and occasionally now will sleep through the night, but that didn't happen until he was almost 18 months old. And he sometimes still gets up in the night. And he gets up waaaay too early in the morning. He has been a terrible sleeper since day one. But he's so good during the day, I guess it all evens out, right?

Back to bed after kids go to school? Oh, I can't wait until school age now! I was dreading the thought, but all of a sudden it's not so bad! Hahaha!

Well their momma was awful big to begin with Stephanie icon_sad.gif, the poor dears didn't have a chance...I was on a diet when I was pregnant and didn't know it with child number 3!! I didn't find out till LATE in my pregnancy...7 months to be exact...I was losing weight and everything...my sister was in labor in Jax. Fl. and my parents were there with her...dh was at work...I was waiting for a phone call from them and my belly MOVED (now granted I was told I wasn't going to be able to have any more kids, I had stopped having my time of the month...for 3 years)!!! I was sooooo scared I rushed to the local Wally world and bought 2 tests brought them home took them and instantly POSITIVE!! I was so sad...I mean she is a blessing now but...I had 2 kids in school and I was glad I only had 2. Chelsea (my 3rd) apparently was gaining the pounds I was losing lol.

Big queen of Big babies LOL

I find it so funny when I hear those stories now that I have been pg. That happened to not 1 but 2 friends. Once was almost 5 mos along and the other was 4 mos before they found out. I knew almost immediately that I was pg. I was like 2 weeks and just knew something was up! All these very slightly different things were going on!

But on the good note, I only had 2 months left to wait for the blessing icon_smile.gif
