The cake wouldn't fully bake in the mold so I ended up using fondant instead.
I had problems with the fondant on the cake and then my 2 yr old decided to
help. The airbrush streaked but i think partially it happened because of the crisco and me being new to airbrushing. Tell me your honest opinions and suggestions. Next time I'm going to try the chocolate. Keegan loved the cake so I guess that smile was all worth it.

Great work! I've dry brushed some of my cakes to get that streaked effect, as others mentioned it adds dimension and such. Couldn't look better and I would have thought the streaking was intentional.
I am curious about the 'Birtday' spelling though. I've never seen the show (I know I'm deprived) and wonder if this is an insider's joke or pun?
Either way I thinks he looks great!! thumbs_up.gif

I think he's cute!! And I agree, I think the streaking looks good. I know how hard it is to do ANYTHING with small ones around wanting to "Help"! icon_biggrin.gif
