I am making cupcakes for my sons school (twins) so I need to make about 50 cupcakes. Anyone have any ideas/pictures of flower cupcakes? I really want them to be springy looking flowers.

I make simple rosebuds on mine, but use bright springy colors (yellow, blue, pink, etc.) It's easy and very pretty. Hope that helps some! icon_biggrin.gif

If you do a search in the pictures and use search words: spring flowers cupcakes or cc you get about 15 hits, if you just put in spring flowers or Flower cupcake you get a lot more like in the 100's ++.

Good Luck

Helen (Antonia74) posted a video clip she did that you might enjoy. The last how to is for a flower on the cupcake.

Maybe make some flowers using starburst candies since its for the children they might like that and they come in so many nice colors plus they are not sweet so would make a nice contrast with the icing. Just an idea

Are flowers the only thing you want to make?

If you consider the spring not easter theme, you also could do Butterfly's, ladybugs and dragon flies. Little rain boots, umbrella's, smiling Sun and Gardening tools.

I will be making chocolates at my son's Preschool in 2 weeks and the theme is spring. So I was pulling molds and thought, this might help you too.

Good Luck.

I made these awhile back when I had leftovers. You could do any sort of royal icing or buttercream flower on top of a cupcake. I love the ones that look like sunflowers too!

Here's a link to some I did last summer for a neighborhood picnic. They were pretty easy.

You could probably do any of the traditional flowers on top of a cupcake and just pretend the cupcake is the flower nail. Take a big petal tip and do roses, apple blosoms, carnations, sunflowers, mums...etc etc. I've always wanted to do this and never have gotten around to it. Maybe this could be my Easter project thumbs_up.gif

I use a giant rose tip and make the whole cupcake into a rose. I also use the curved petal tip and make mums in bright colors, also yellow with chocolate sprinkles in the middles for sunflowers. If you're making them for kids, they won't recognize the type of flower to know if it's a spring or fall flower, they will just go for whatever has bright colors and lots of frosting.
