Since i have started walking i really want to get a mp3 player. I really like the look of the ZEN's but am open to others. I dont know anyone with a ZEN but they are really cute and come in orange which is the color i want. I dont want to do the Ipods because you can only use Itunes and the others you can actually download your own cds onto them. ANyone know of a great orange mp3 player???

I have an iRiver. I like it b/c it uses regular AA batteries and is about the size of a lipstick case. I haven't the need for videos and stuff so it suits me fine plus it has a great little FM tuner.

My husband bought it at Best Buy but you can find it on the net. It doesn't come in as many of colors as iPods do but it does come in some. I don't think orange is one of them though. Try www.iriver.com

I have a sandisk and LOVE it. It's also the size of a lipstick. If you want to compare it to an ipod, even though you don't want one. It has the same memory 512 MB(120 mp3/240 windows media music files song capacity, but you can take off music and put in music, so you can jsut switch things around) and it has a LCD screen. It also only costs 80 Dollars. But they have ones that are 1GB($100 and 2GB($130). It's really nice. icon_smile.gif

I have a ZEN and one of The mini iPods that keeps on breaking on me. I keep on having to send it back to them. So far I have not had any issues with my ZEN and it's my backup when my iPOD is busted.

I spent so much money on the darn iPod that keeps on breaking. The ZEN I got free and it's so much more reliable.

I have a sony one. But it only comes in blue as far as i know. I love it. Its light at can be, fits in my jeans pocket, and takes AAA batteries. I have about 200 songs on it and it still has space. I wanted the 1gig, but they were sold out so I had to settle for the 338mb.

I have the ipod shuffle and my husband has one too and the big ipod. I know you said you did not want one but you can load all your own music on them. itunes allows you to load all you CDs on your computer and then transfer them all to your ipod....which we have done. I love the shuffle because it is so small and light....I work out with it and had something that is weighing me down!! just my 2 cents...

I bought a printer and that was thrown in as a freebie.

I bought one of my children an iPod nano, and should have researched my choices rather than just buy the one he wanted the week it was released. Itunes is very limiting in what you can do with the music you download/buy, and we can't use Napster or Rhapsody or any of the other music services.

Lesson learned!
