I was going to try and make some cookie bouquets for Mother's Day this year ( I will be out of town for Easter icon_sad.gif ) and am having a heck of a time determining price. I know that most of that is in relation to your location but the cost and time to make these things is similar regardless so I was wondering how much everyone charges. Or, perhaps, what type of formula you use..i.e. ( $? per cookie + an additional $? for 'packaging'.

I found these little wire baskets in the $1 section of Target - they have sparkly mesh that will wrap around and tie in a bow - figured I would hot glue a chunk of styro insde and put some paper grass around it to disguise. The there would be 5 MMF NFSC wrapped (approx 3 - 4 inches) ...... $25?

$20 seems too cheap to me.......

And any thoughts on where to advertise these? I think most of us are not in the same town so we don't have to worry about competition icon_lol.gif so I was thinking of making an example, taking color pics and making flyers and then taking them to the Firestation, Home Depot, Schools, District Office, local Costco and see if I can get some orders..... was shooting for 'guy' stuff since they tend to run out and buy something for their Moms and their wives for Mother's Day. Any other spots you think?

My church has a weekly bulletin that you can buy advertising space on the back of it (about business card size)...might want to check into that! They also have a brunch every now and again after service...If you have something like that you could offer up some free cookies in hopes of getting orders!
Good luck! I have to hone my skills some before I can even think about "going public" icon_smile.gif

$25 sounds perfect to me. That's how much I charge for a 5 cookie bouquet. And as for advertising, flyers work great! thumbs_up.gif I hope you get lots of orders! icon_biggrin.gif

Thanks guys...I was hoping $25 was okay. If I did them for $20 I felt like it really wouldn't be 'worth' is since Lord knows cookies take forever and a day ~ lol.

I do them for $4 each individual cookie and $5 each in a bouquet. So $25 sounds just right to me.

I would say between $20 and $25..depends on the size of cookies and how they are decorated and the container...

I work in a 10 story building and posted some small posters about 12 x 15" or so and added some photos of bouquets I have done and place them in the break rooms of each floor. I get quite a few calls now! I also do cakes. The posters have really help boost sells. I even put one in the post office where I live ( a little rural town)...so now get the orders from the locals as well.

I just got a couple orders for some also and I'm charging $25 for a 5 cookie bouquet. I work in a large office and send out emails when I'm taking orders.

I think $25 for 5 cookies is a fair price.

Sounds like the verdict is about $25, I think that sounds good.

For advertising I would start with people you see a lot! I like to take my things to the bank I go to. Maybe there is a church or friends that have nice workplaces you can give them a flyer for their husbands. i always find that just going around to people you don't know and business is harder. They always seem a little hesitant since they aren't sure they can do stuff like that and don't know you very well. Hope this helps! icon_biggrin.gif

I charge $30 for my 5 cookie bouquet. I go on the internet and see what other companies charge for their products and base mine on that.
