I used the slice and bake tube cookies in my cake this weekend. I put one cookie in the middle layer of a real cake, and it was so yummy. All of the other moms were very impressed
Thanks so much for the great idea. My daughter wanted a cookie cake but I wanted the wow factor of a decorated cake...... YEAH! We both got what we wanted.
I just looked up this old post and still love it as much as the first time I saw it. Thanks again. I'm going to be using it for the grooms cake at my SIL's wedding!

Wow, what a great idea! thanks for sharing, I will have to try this.![]()
I have made something similar to this, but made it with peanut butter cookies and chocolate b/c. This idea is great for smaller cookies stacked and iced, kinda like a mini cake. For an extra fudgey, I use the double fudge chip recipe, torte with choc butter cream, base ice it, and then pour ganache over the top and sides. It is very rich.
