I used the slice and bake tube cookies in my cake this weekend. I put one cookie in the middle layer of a real cake, and it was so yummy. All of the other moms were very impressed icon_biggrin.gif Thanks so much for the great idea. My daughter wanted a cookie cake but I wanted the wow factor of a decorated cake...... YEAH! We both got what we wanted.

I have made something similar to this, but made it with peanut butter cookies and chocolate b/c. This idea is great for smaller cookies stacked and iced, kinda like a mini cake. For an extra fudgey, I use the double fudge chip recipe, torte with choc butter cream, base ice it, and then pour ganache over the top and sides. It is very rich.

I sometimes use a cookie base on the bottom of a cake to get that extra little bit of height - plus it makes the slices more stable. If stability isn't an issue, I've done same with blondie or brownie.

That is the most AMAZING cake I've ever seen! I have "lounge" duty next
week at school, and I'm going to make this for my fellow teachers...they

I just had to bring this topic back, I tried one of these cakes this weekend for daughter's birthday and it was the hit of the party. I think it was easier to decorate than a cake. Instructions are great! Thanks!
