So I needed some bags for NFSC w/ MMF that I made...they are a bit bigger then 3" so I go to Michael's and they have these nifty little bags that are sort of scalloped a bit for a less bulky look where they are tied. I measure the area where the cookie goes and buy the bags. When I tried to put the darn cookie in the flippin' bag it wouldn't fit thru the opening....

Did I feel like a moron? YES!!! icon_redface.gif Who, in the name of all that is holy, came up with this design?? Any cookie small enough to make it thru the opening of the bag would be dwarfed by the large area at the end of the bag? Am I missing something.....I had to cut them all open, put the cookies inside and then use my business stickers to seal them......

*sigh* icon_rolleyes.gif

Well, they are usually for a handful of treats, not cookies. Nice try though. icon_smile.gif

CakeDiva73,

Don't feel bad! I did the same thing when I made snowman cookies this winter. I was lucky because I could just barely squeeze them in and then position them horizontally in the bag. I felt pretty stupid since I bought TWO packs. At least we know for next time! LOL

LOL.... Don't feel bad I did the same thing about 2 years ago. It was a good thing I had regular bags on hand.

LOL.... Thanks for the laughs and the memories though

icon_lol.gif I did the same thing!

I finally got to use those bags for cookies this past xmas. I had to make a bunch of mini snowmen cookies and they actually fit perfectly in those bags so now I don't feel like I wasted my money.

I had the same problem. I bought those to put my DD's cookie favors in and couldn't get them through the opening. I just happen to have some different bags that I ended up using. So now I have all of these bags and nothing to use them for. icon_mad.gif

You can use them for lots of things.

mini cookies- sprinkled in Easter pastels
popcorn- pastel colored candy corn
pretzels, plain or dipped
all sorts of small treats.

hahaha...I thought I was the only one that did that... I was trying every which way to get the darn cookies in too. It fit at the top but not through the slim opening. =)

I just bought 2 packages of these today. I think after reading this thread I will be returning them tomorrow morning. I never even thought about getting the cookie through the opening.

Well, I still have to make them work so I slit them opened and put the cookie in and then close the slit with my sticker....on another note, these are the perfect size to hold 3 cake truffles icon_smile.gif

had that problem myself. Had it w/ the regular treat bags too. Cookies were to big, so I got out my box of zip lock, cut the zip part off and voila, a cookie bag. This is like one of those "you might be a red neck if" things, but it worked.
