Here it is..a simple pastel colored bouquet of flowers and butterflies. This sure was a bit easier than my last cookie adventure making "Doras"! Does anyone have and constructive criticism for me? Thanks everyone!

You did a great job on them. The colours look very nice. One thing I would suggest is to make the sticks on the back cookies longer so that they can been seen when you arrange them in your bouquet.

nice job i also would like to have the recipe your used for icing. I have only used mmf on mine but am ready to venture out to other things...I also agree with BarbaraK on the sticks to be longer in back. Love the colors you chose, great job on detail..

I love your cookies. The colors are perfect. I agree with the other posters, the only thing I see that could be improved is arrangement. The center cookies are blocking the back, so if you could put them on longer sticks it would create a better visual. Wonderful!

I am also interested in what type of frosting you are using.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. But where can I get longer sticks? I just use the Wiltons brand from Joanns, but I thought I got the longest they have. Is there somewhere else that sells longer ones? The recipe for the icing is the royal icing recipe here on CC, but I did add 3 extra tablespoons of Karo Syrup and about 3 or 4 tbsp of water to thin it out. Honestly after I made the recipe, when I was thinning it I didnt measure perfectly, but those are my estimates. I think the reason it is so nice and shiny is because it was a little thinner than I used before. Almost to the point where I thought it might be too thin but I wanted to try it. It just layed flat perfectly. Thanks again everyone!!

You can use dowel rods that are in the wood isle of Michael's! They have thin ones and then you can cut them down if you need. They are very inexpensive! icon_biggrin.gif

In most grocery or discount stores you can find a package of long thin bamboo skewers meant for grilling kebabs... these work fantastically if you can't find longer sucker sticks. They are really nice and long and sharpened on one end, which is great for sticking them into your craft foam! Your cookies really look lovely! Great work!!

They are so cute! I agree with everyone when they say to add a little decoration onto the pot. That would just dress it up a little bit but they are so cute!
