Flowers Done,boxed And Sent Don't Like The Empty Feeling

well the gumpaste flowers are finished and the aunt picked them up to take to Texas but I am not sure I will do this again. The money was fantastic but I have this empty feeling not doing or even seeing the cake. letting go is harder than raising children. 
I hope they send me a picture as promised
I have always felt like my cakes were my babies. I can't even imagine how you must feel after putting so much work into your wonderful flowers. I think you'll feel better when you get the picture. Then you'll be able to see how beautiful your flowers made the cake.
These cakes are meant to be enjoyed and eaten. That's not going to happen sitting in my house. I love decorating. And yes, a piece of me leaves with each project whether it a whole cake or a gumpaste piece. But it needs to leave to fulfill it's duty.

I understand how you are feeling. You know the cake is going to be beautiful because of those wonderful flowers you made!! I agree with Lisa once you see the pics you will be so happy!!
