?about Crimsicle's Chart - Weigh Instead Of Measure

exactlly kinda like the whole which weighs more.......a ton of bricks or a ton of feathers???.......that's what makes weighing ingredients so great, it's very consistent for use in recipes.......almost all bakeries weigh their ingredients vs. measuring them out..........easier and way more precise.......by the way cat humidity will greatly affect anything you're making.......if it's a dry day you may need more liquid if it's a humid day you may need to add more sugar......it's always dependent upon the weather!
Cat,
If you've got the grid that just has "powdered sugar" you've got the old one. I did another one that has both unsifted and sifted powdered sugar on it. It's in my photos. Which measurement you use depends on how your recipe is written....whether it wants you to measure and then sift or sift and then measure. With powdered sugar, the volume different is quite a bit between the sifted and unsifted. It might be enough of a difference to throw your recipe off.
You can weigh with your bowl on the scale just subtract the bowl weight. If you have an electronic scale most of those have reset buttons that you can push to reset the scale after you put the bowl on it. I think I got that right. Been a long day..
Good idea. I hate figuring those bakers percentage formulas can be a headache. Good Luck....

This is a chart to convert cups to weight in grams. This is so you can just weigh out your ingredients instead of having to measure everything and mess up a lot of dishes. It is also more accurate than measuring. The way I do it is I have a digital scale and I put my bowl and the scale and hit the scale zero button. I add my ingredients one at a time and hit scale zero after each ingredient.
HTH and I hope that I did not confuse you. If you have anymore questions let me know.

I am looking for the post about crimsicles conversion chart about weighing instead of measureing.
If anyone could help me find it I would appreciate it.
It is suppose to be in the general category, I believe.
Thanks.
