Well I tried mmf this weekend for the first and it went ok. I just have a couple of questions. I tried to knead in the color like I've read you can, but all I could get was a marbled color. What did I do wrong? Also, if you want to just paint it the color you need, what kind of colors do you use?

Thank you icon_smile.gif

Sounds like you just stopped kneeding it too soon...

If you want to paint it I just water down some of my gel colors...

Hope that helps

good luck

If you have a KA, put the color in with the melted marshmallow, I thin my paste colors down with glycerine, but you could probably do it as well with some vanilla.

Thanks for the tips. I'll give it another try.

Usually what I do is color the water mixture instead of kneading it in at the end, which takes forever.

You can make small batches of the marshmallow fondant so it works well.

If I'm going to color mmf, I add the color right after I take it out of the microwave, when the marshmallows have just been melted. Grease up a big spoon and start stirring....it was easier than kneading it in.

I thought about trying that, but I was wanting more than one color. I'll just make small batches and do each color. Thanks so much.

I have the best luck by putting crisco on my hand and the pulling and stretching to mix the colors in. It take a while but watch some tv and soon it will be a solid color

i knead and pull it apart...the more you stretch it the more the colors blend. icon_smile.gif
