Sorry, I should be in bed and I'm getting silly, but am I the only one who doesn't enjoy a clown? I think Ronald McDonald is the scariest one of all. icon_surprised.gif I just don't get it. Why clowns?

I don't mind clowns but I agree with everyone about the BK, he is definatly creepy looking. I don't think they did any research when they came up with those commercials.

Not afraid per se. But the buggers freak me out and I have never really thought of them a 'cute'

I was so angry when my Wilton teacher refused to let me do a different cake for our third class.

I did the cake, but refused to buy the little plastic heads. I borrowed some from another student to stick in during class, and then scraped the decapitated clown bodies off once I got home.

Clowns don't bother me. However, the Burger King king.gif is way freaky icon_eek.gif . I would flip the @#$%^ tapedshut.gif if I woke up and he was in my bed or outside my window or even if the commercial was on. They need to rethink their marketing strategy. dunce.gif

OH! Don't get me started on dolls, wigs, ect.

When i was younger my brother had a wig he;d wear to scare me. I hate this things and one day when i was in my brother's room about to steal some 20$$ from his safe as usual i saw the wig on the bed ,and i thought it'd move. I got so freaked! I brought it downstairs to my grandma put it under 3 blankets and 3 pillows. I went back a little later and my grandma told me it;d move again(now remember i was little). I was SOO scared i locked it in a closed and closed every single door behind me. icon_eek.gif god i can never look at a wig the same.

And after i watched chuckie dolls were never the same to me. They just stare at you. icon_confused.gif I feel like they're ganna come alive and kill me or something. icon_eek.gificon_eek.gificon_eek.gif

Just to make matters worse there is an old Twilight Zone where a doll did come to life and kill the people who wronged her little girl owner! icon_eek.gif

My friend and sil are both freakishly afraid of clowns. Now get this-my other sil wanted to get a family portrait for the step-mil(which is her mom) with all of us dressed as clowns as a mother's day gift. My sil had a heart attack just considering it. Thankfully it never happened cause I wasn't putting on any d&%n clown nose! icon_lol.gif

geez, that wasn't very considerate of your teacher. In our second class that was the first thing our teacher asked when we were talking about doing the cake. Because if anyone didn't like clowns they could do something else. It doesnt' make sense, because clowns are not the only way to learn figure piping and pressure control.

But to answer the original question clowns don't freak me out, however when I was younger evidently they did, and the easter bunny too (still don't understand that one) But I must have out grown that stage.

I probably shouldn't say this in this particular thread, my questions may never get answered again!!! shhh.gifshhh.gif

But, here goes. . .
. . .I used to work as a clown!!! icon_eek.gificon_eek.gifshhh.gif

But that was a loooooooong time ago!!!
And the funny thing is that the kids were never really amused with us, it was the parents who were stepping on each other to get to us, especially if we were handing out free balloons!! I was in high school then, and only did it in the summer. However, after seeing that IT movie years ago. . .I hear what y'all are saying!! thumbs_up.gif

as for dolls ......once i stayed at my aunts(by marriage) house and she had ingrained in her daughters head that if you played with dolls after the sun went down that they would come alive and scratch you .....I wouldnt listen and would play anyways....needless to say i woke up with scratch marks all over my body ......so that stopped me from playing with them at night........

now you will think im crazy.......

The Burger King guy is definitely creepy. The new commercials are very weird. I recently took a paid survey for Burger King and told them flat out that I couldn't stand this new marketing gimmick. It's disturbing.
Never thought I'd get so much support for my anti-clown stance! lol This is kinda funny!

I am soooo glad that I am not alone. Clowns freak me out (notice the clown in my avatar).......I have no idea what possessed me to make a clown for that cake. It had to be the clown spirits taking over my body!

I really can't remember when I first started hating clowns......maybe after seeing Poltergist but for sure after seeing "It". Pennywise is SCARY!

And the BK dude is freaky......FREAKY!!!

I better stop because I am scaring myself!! icon_surprised.gif

Oh my gosh is you want to see me cry...............they are horrifying to me!! I had a boss/friend one time who bought a scarecrow around Halloween and placed it right at the front door of the building.....well I all of a sudden started using the back door which I guess made it obvious that I was afraid of it......one day I got there and it wasn't at the door anymore.....so I thought awww how sweet they moved it out.........I went in thinking I was going to tell him how wonderful i thought it was that he figured it out and moved it.................the damn thing was in my chair.I KID YOU NOT!!! scared me so bad I cried screamed then left for the day!!!!

Clowns seriously freak me out. My sister too now that I think of it. I remember once a clown threaten to turn me into a rabbit and she all but screamed at him that he would not be doing such a thing to her big sister. She was scared enough as it was with out stupid threats. The worst kind of clown is the kind that covers their whole face in white makeup with the red ball nose, and super exagerated smile. If you ever want to commit a crime and have no chance of being reconized, do that kind of clown makeup. Makes me wonder why parents let clowns be with their children at parties.

The BK King is majorly creepy. What kind of moron would dream up the concept for that "marketing character"? Honestly, whos going to eat at a restaurant that has commercials featuring a giant plastic-headed overly happy, but otherwise emotionless and horribly dressed king? I agree if that thing ever showed up in my bed or at my window I would run away screaming, and then call the cops.
