I've hated clowns ever since I was little. I hated going to the circus and would only go if I sat far enough back to get away from the 'clowns & puppets'. LOL

I still hate them. Clown haunted houses are something that I loathe and wish they would all go away. The thought makes me freak out in a claustrophobic way and I've enever even been inside one...

As for the burger king guy...I hate him too. I think it is that whole thing with masks and make-up. The faces always stay the same and anyone can hide under them...

(Shivering and grossed out right now).

OH OH OH OH OH!!!!!!! icon_eek.gificon_eek.gificon_eek.gificon_eek.gificon_eek.gif

I (for the life of me can't figure out why I let my hubby talk me into this) watched a scary movie last night, "SAW"!!! Have any of you seen that??? OMGoodness!!!!!!! Once the movie had started, oh about 15 minutes into it, my hubby said "Oh yeah, there's a bit of a clown factor in this movie!" icon_surprised.gificon_surprised.gificon_surprised.gificon_surprised.gificon_surprised.gificon_surprised.gificon_surprised.gificon_surprised.gificon_surprised.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif I thought there is no way I can watch this movie, just no way. Well there was a small part of me that said I needed to finish it since I already started it, you know, like when you're at the top of the first drop of a roller coaster and you have no choice but to go through with the ride!!!!!!! It completely freaked me out! I spent the entire movie with a couch pillow in my face. I didn't let go of it at all. My poor husband practically became melded into the arm of the couch because of how close I kept scooting to him!!!

That movie completely freaked me out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! icon_confused.gificon_confused.gificon_confused.gificon_confused.gificon_confused.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif

I kind of figured I wasn't the only one freaked out by the BK guy. His head is just way to large for his body! It's just nasty!!!!!

Cakemommy: Thats so funny...it sounds like me when I watch a scary movie w/my DH. He always asks me if I'm thinking about uncovering my eyes at all during the movie icon_biggrin.gif
Oh, the worst commercial is when the BK guy was at the window...it just freaked me out icon_surprised.gif

Update on the clown thing... my sister works at McDonalds and Ronald was there and snuck up behind her. My sister had a panick attack as a result and ran and hid. Poor kid, her boss was wondering what was going on with her.

Serial killer John Wayne Gasy. The real killer clown.
I can't look at any clown around children without wondering what is "HE/SHE" hiding under their house or literally what skeleton is hidden in their closets.

icon_twisted.gif "balloon?" *beep, beep*

Just kidding, don't beat me up.

Hey, no kidding! You never know. Sometimes what appears to be the most innocent of things to kids turns out to be a parents nightmare!!!

Amy, that is soooo very true. I honestly can not look at a clown around children and not wonder what horrible secret they hide. I have know some sick people who have hidden under the innocents of a character. (works in a PD) I can truely understand the fear and as a mother, believe me, my kids are not far from my side when one is around. My husband thinks I being overly protective but Gasy is stuck in my head when I see one.

Paranoid? yeah...just slightly.

I was just playing around with the balloon thing. icon_wink.gif

He no problem! It's a rude awakening for some people who are blind (so to speak) as to child predators! I have two small children myself...3 1/2 and 14 mos. If I'm not comfortable with something then I won't expose my kids to it. Yeah, that seems overprotective to some people but you know what...mother's intuition is the best "radar"!!!!!

Talk about the scariest clown of all... the clown from the movie "It" was really nasty! Remember those teeth? icon_surprised.gif I hated that movie! Hated the book too! Couldn't even finish it. icon_confused.gif My sister had a copy of it when we still lived at home and I picked it up, then quickly put it back down. Later I lent it to a guy that lived behind us who the next week moved to Oklahoma... never saw him or the book again! icon_lol.gif

Is it just me, or does Witon LOVE clowns!! I ve been looking at back yearbook issues and they can turn any character pan into a clown!! I refused to buy and then make the derby clown heads for my Course 1 class...I got the small doll heads instead and dressed them in icing - I know my class thinks im nuts!! I HATE CLOWNS!

My sister received a stuffed clown with a plastic face for a gift. It was cute for a little while, then I started getting creeped out by it. Then somehow the face got crushed, so it was cracked, but she still kept it. To me, it got creepier. This was before I saw Poltergeist or part of IT. I don't mind clowns at the circus, but DOOO NOOOOTTTTT give me or my children a clown to put in my house.

As for doing a cake, I could probably do one, though. clowns made of icing aren't creepy. And I'm soooo glad to hear I'm not the only one!!

Ya'll crack me up! I'm not scared of clowns but then again... I stay away from them soooo there might be some fear deep inside of me! I'm scared to death of birds! Any kind of bird!! I can't even have a bird picture or nick nack in my house. They scare the death out of me! My daughter loves porcelin (sp) dolls but when she first gets one she has to face the doll towards the wall for a week. After 1 week she can turn it around & she isn't afraid of it anymore. She's 16 now & she still does this routine! It's hilarious!! It's so weird how different things effect people!

I really hate clowns too and so does my son, so who should live next to us? Oh, yes! A man that owns 5 McDonald's. so for every occasion he has Ronald MeDonald come to his backyard and entertain all the neighborhood kids. My son always tried to hide from that hideous guy.

Now my son is married, and guess what? His mother in law is a professional clown. OMG! What bad karma that kid has.

I am sooooo glad I saw this thread. My husband thought I was the only person creeped out by clowns (and monkeys I have to admit). I agree with you all about the BK King - I have to flip the channel. He even creeps out my kids. Having issues with monkeys and clowns always makes the trips to the circus and zoo interesting. I desperately want - and need - to take Wilton classes but I hope when I can I can do something else for the creepy cake.

Two years ago at the county fair a clown came up behind us and asked if the kids wanted balloons. My hubby grabbed my arm so I couldn't run! Why do they have to sneak up on you like that? icon_surprised.gificon_surprised.gificon_surprised.gif
