Your pictures didn't post!! Try again. Congratulations on your weight loss. What an achievement. I lost over 100 lbs 6 yrs ago and kept it off really well till I started baking cakes. I have gained almost 40 lbs and am mad as heck at myself. I'm working on getting back down at least 30 lbs.

Congrats on the weightloss!!!!!

Try making the pictures smaller before posting them and add them as an attachment.

That gives me lots of hope! I don't feel like I will ever lose all of mine.

Wow! You look great! Congrats on your achievement!!! I've lost 27 lbs in the past year. Have had a pretty bad attitude lately though. So I have pretty much stopped losing. Have 25 lbs. more to go to reach goal. I'm needing some major motivation!!! Anna31

Congratulations on your weight loss!!! You look fantastic!!!

Ok here's mine... I've lost 103 lbs! Yes, I had WLS (weight loss surgery). Vertical Banded Gastroplasty. I started out with a BMI of 40.8 & I now I have a healthy BMI of 24.0!! I'd do it again in a heartbeat!! thumbs_up.gif

Sorry the pics are a little blurry... I had to adjust the size. The 2nd pic is me in my old jeans! It was my dream/goal to be able to get ALL of me in one leg of my old jeans!! I did it & I had some room left over too!!! icon_lol.gif

wow! Those pics are great. That adds some encouragement to meicon_smile.gif I've lost 10 lbs since mid-december and I thought that was good...I'd love to lose as fast as you have. I figure, though, that 10 lbs every three months means 40 each year and that's no small potatoes!

I do have to blame slim-fast for a bit of a set-back though. I had lost about 7 lbs in January and decided to step it up by starting on slim-fast. Bad move. I actually gained a couple lbs in the next month. I realized that was because of the slim-fast and quit. Right away, I started losing again and have since lost those couple lbs that I'd lost, plus a couple more. I've now lost 10 so far.

Stay away from slim-fast! It's evil! oh, and the kids like it and sneak it and then make messes icon_rolleyes.gif

Great job on your losses!!! I lost 70lbs. a few years back. I felt like a different person as I had always been heavy. It's amazing how life is so different when you are smaller.....don't think thin people appreciate how lucky they are. Anyway, I got pregnant after 1 1/2 years of being thinner and happier and now I'm back to where I was. I can't seem to find the motivation I had before. I know I need to lose it, I know how to lose it...just can't seem to do it. I think mainly because it is such a long journey. I wish I had the $$ for band surgery..I know it's not a quick fix.....but it would be such a 'boost' to see noticeable results to keep me going.........sorry....needed to vent... icon_redface.gif

Oh my, I absolutely love that picture with the jeans. Geeez, you can actually get both legs in one pants leg. How wonderful is that? Congratualtions. Wow, you should be so proud!!

Thanks butternut~ I do feel wonderful & healthy!!

mom 23kids~~ I had my surgery in March 06. I lost 98 lbs by Dec 06. I lost the first 60 lbs in the 1st 4 months. It's fast but like you said.. seeing results helps!! It motivated me big time! And being motivated helped me to work harder in my exercise, drinking water, & eating the right foods. No, I don't feel deprived at all, I never have. Once you give up the "bad" foods you lose your taste for them. Taste is my worst enemy! My plan is to Eat to Live NOT Live to Eat. Changing your outlook on food & health is the best thing you can do for yourself. Losing weight starts with your mind first~ icon_wink.gif If my mind says it's bad then it's bad & I don't eat it! LOL~ If your mind is ready you can do anything!! thumbs_up.gif Ok... getting off the soapbox now... sorry icon_wink.gif

PS... I'd like to say that I did give up my favorite thing in the world ICECREAM when I had surgery. I now eat icecream when I want... sometimes I eat it tooo often but I love it & can't give it up completely! I had WLS, I'm not dead! icon_lol.gif Also... WLS isn't for everyone. A lot of peole fail & go back to eating again. I don't think that will happen to me because I have trained my mind to be healthy! thumbs_up.gif

Okay, since we are sharing, I have to post mine now too. My before picture was christmas 2005 (yes, I am a star wars nerd icon_smile.gif ) and the after was about, hmm, a month ago. I've lost a total of about 45 pounds. I still need about another 40 to reach my goal, and these pictures keep me motivated. Oh, and I lost the majority of my weight with Weight Watchers but once I couldn't afford to go anymore, I still did everything the same and kicked up my exercise. And thankfully, I haven't gained any back.

Even though I hate seeing my before picture, I can't delete it. That's a perfect picture to remind how unhealthy I was.

jelligirl, boy do I know about the stumbling thing. When you stumble just get right back up the next day & start over again. Don't be so hard on yourself, no one is perfect so your gonna stumble. Just don't let it be a permenant set back. icon_smile.gif
